Superstition? I don't believe in that.
All of my performances are on me, the good and not so good ones. I have a pre-game routine of sorts, on game day, I always wake up early and get a work out in. I like the serenity and peace of mind you get from working out. I suppose the repetitiveness of certain workouts allow you to think deeply, all that blood is flowing quickly. I like to shower and then take a nap. It's important for one to get some rest before a game. After getting a good nap in, it's time to wake up and get ready for the game. You have to arrive dressed professionally. At the stadium, it's all about getting into the right state of mind. After eating with the team, it's usually time to listen to some hype music, get psyched up for the game. I don't owe my success or failures to a certain step in the process or something like that. I think those mind games are bad for your overall psyche. Once you start relying on a knick knack, and then it fails, you're totally lost. It's best to own up and be accountable for your failures or successes, the highs and lows.
