Turkleton was part of the first ever draft class and has been around for every game played since then. So let's see what memorable moments Turk has had in his career.

While the second season of the NSFL had a lot of kicker reach the 57 yard achievement, there was one kicker who was able to kick this distance the first and that kicker was Turk Turkleton in week 1, Baltimore Hawks vs the Las Vegas Legion. While the Hawks did end up losing the game 16 to 10 reaching the furtest kick in league history was a great accomplishment.

Season 2 brought a tough vote for the award commity. Both Turkleton and Booter had set a very good season. In the end however it was Turk Turkleton who was awarded the award. Turkleton was honored to have been selected and he cherished the award dearly.

[div align=\\\"center\\\"]- Cliching playoffs with U.C. Davis -[/div]

In the final game of the season U.C. Davis was just one point short of making the playoffs with their rival the Sacramento State Hornets being tied with them. A lose to the Hornets would mean no playoffs football and their rivals going on to the playoffs. It was late in the 4th, Davis trailing 27 to 29 when U.C Davis went into their 4th down. They decided to go for the field goal. 45 yards was the distance to beat. A lot of pressure was on Turkleton in this moment. The fans were cheering, with only a few seconds left to go in the game it was now or neveer. With a beautiful kick the balls flies straight at the uprights and goes throught. Turkleton is named man of the match by Davis and they go on to play playoff football.
