The biggest moment of my entire career has to easily be when we managed to Stun the #2 ranked Ohio State Chestnuts and the #1 ranked Alabama Red Tide to Michigan State's first ever National championship. We had managed a dominating 11-0 season before Ohio State had defeated us in the last game of the year to claim the B1G 10 crown, and were ranked #5 on the day of the B1G 10 championship. Luckily for us, both Stanford and Florida State were upset by their opponents in their championship games, and we managed to make it to the #3 rank in the nation, setting us up for a revenge match vs Ohio State.
We were underdogs to tOSU, but managed to beat then 38-27 thanks to 2 timely interceptions and 344 yards through the air, 152 of which were me.
Then, we had to face off against the heavily favored Alabama, who's defense had not given up more than 2 TDs all season. The Red Tide defense was talking trash about how we were gonna get shutdown. But once the game started, our passing attack dominated. Our TE hauled in 2 TDs by himself, and I ended up with 188 yards and 1 TD on 14 receptions, as we blew them out 56-27, and I was able to help my team bring back the first ever NCG in Michigan State history.
