COX BEATS SELF OFF THE LINE AS TENNESSEE WINS 14-10
Defensive lineman Jimmy Cox played a great game on Saturday, helping Tennessee beat Vanderbilt 14-10 with 2 sacks and 10 tackles, including 2 tackles for loss. Despite playing against All-American Tackle Gilbert Self, Jimmy Cox had no problems dictating the game and stopping any offense Vanderbilt attempted to put forward in a win that brings the Tennessee record to 2-0 to start the season.
BOTH COX PENETRATE HOLES EFFICIENTLY IN A KEY VICTORY
Jimmy and Vinny Cox from the Cox family of respected footballers played an incredible game yesterday, as the freshman and junior combined for 5 sacks, 16 tackles, and 3 tackles for loss as Tennessee stomped Ole Miss 20-3 en route to a 7-3 record. This also brings Tennessee to the #15 seed, which means they could still possibly reach an important bowl game this season. The Cox brothers have shown that they have the potential to be 2 of the best defensive linemen in not only college history but possibly in the pros as well.
ORANGE COUNTY SHOWS COX IN THEIR REGULAR SEASON DEBUT
Among other rookies, Jimmy Cox was seen for the first time in an Otters jersey on Sunday as the Otters took the Liberty down 55-10. While Cox was probably the worst defensive player on the field, head coach Angus Winchester believes he will improve a lot and his potential is very high.
