One of the biggest memories of my college career was the bowl game in my last season. I knew that it would be a bittersweet moment and we weren't playing for a national championship or anything, so I decided to make the most of the week with my teammates. We definitely partied a ton that week but we still came out ready to play on game day. We ran all over them, our line was pushing them around all game. It was definitely a great send-off for me and the other guys that wouldn't be around the following season.
My first great memory in the NSFL of course was draft night. I had no idea when I was going to get drafted so when I got the call from the Liberty saying I was going to be the last pick of the first round it was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. It was definitely a huge weight off my mind to know where I would end up. I couldn't ask for a better group of teammates and I'm glad Philadelphia was where I could start my career.
A final great memory of mine was the first time I played against MVP Jayce Tuck and the Arizona Outlaws. It was one of my first real regular season NSFL games and I knew it would be a challenge. It was definitely the toughest defensive front I had ever played against and even though I got beat a couple times and we lost I was still happy with my performance. It was at that point that I knew if I put in the work I had what it took to be a standout player in the league. I definitely learned a lot from that game and it helped propel me to be as good as I am today. Sure enough last season despite a rough start I was a pro bowl selection for the NSFC.
A couple other memories that come to mind were playing in the pro bowl game and of course playing in the JBear Memorial Game. I'm hoping that we can have some more fun events like those in the future.
