Francois Lamoreux remembered sitting at home, feasting on lunch meat and extra sharp cheddar cheese, thinking about what could have been. Without his knowledge, his agent who was supposed to bring him NFL glory had signed him up for the NSFL, a league that Lamoreux had never even heard of. After a workout, several teams clamored to sign him off of waivers with the honor going to the Las Vegas Legion. It felt good to be on a team even if just for a few short weeks. Lamoreux put in the Legion uniform with pride and took his position on the offensive line.

After a stunning upset against the Yeti to knock them out of playoff contention, Lamoreux prepared to stand for the Season 3 Draft. He had been scouted by no fewer than five teams, but strongly preferred to play for his favorite team, the Yellowknife Wraiths. To the Outlaws great surprise, Lamoreux told them in no uncertain terms that they were not his preferred team, when the back-to-back champions were accustomed to prospects crawling over each other to ask to be drafted to an already established dominant team. Lamoreux was deeply honored to have been drafted first in the second round, as the ninth overall pick of the Season 3 Draft.

Following a humiliating loss against the Baltimore Hawks in Week 1, Lamoreux and the Wraiths rededicated themselves to training in preparation to face them again in Week 7. In the hotly anticipated rematch, Lamoreux had 4 pancakes and only 1 sack allowed en route to a glorious 20-12 Yellowknife victory. Defeating the consensus #2 ranked team reinvigorated both Lamoreux and the Wraiths locker room, giving them high hopes for the remainder of the season.
