(S3) - PT #4 - Best at what they do

No team in the league can underachieve like the Yellowknife Wraiths. Whether it’s bad luck, bad game planning, or just plain shitting the bed, the Wraiths will have soon done what no other NSFC team has done. Nothing. With the Philadelphia Liberty poised to win the conference (which is going to cost me 1 million dollars, by the way, so congratulations to @`To12143`), the Wraiths are going to be the ONLY NSFC team to have not won the conference over the first three seasons. What’s truly amazing about that, though, is that all three seasons, the Wraiths were considered the best team in the conference. Arguably, they’ve kind of lived up to that hype, too.

Last season, a big deal was understandably made about how the Yeti, who had the highest point differential in the conference, didn’t make the playoffs. It was a legitimate gripe, but here’s the thing: the Yeti don’t get to complain about it (and the Hawks have been ridiculously luckier)

Now, obviously the Liberty are going to finish better, but does anyone think they or the Hawks will come close to the PD of the Wraiths? Of course not. Over 3 seasons, 4 teams will have beaten them in the standings, and the Wraiths will have had a higher PD of all of them. That’s because they are the BEST at underachieving.
