What do the Hawks players do in the offseason? Avon Blocksdale, Owen Taylor, and Ricardo Sandoval in the offseason all head out to local high schools to help teach and mentor young linemen who need that motivation and boost. They have already reached out to multiple high schools, many of which are ecstatic at the offer.
Archbishop Spalding
One of the top schools in the area, Archbishop Spalding was overjoyed at the prospect of three NSFL linemen coming to coach their boys in the offseason. Ricardo Sandoval is personal friends with the coach and knows this may be what they need to win the Maryland state championship next year.
Mount Saint Joseph
Mount Saint Joseph is always a great team, but one of their main weak spots is the OL and DL. Blocksdale, Taylor, and Sandoval have all said this is the team they want to help the most, as the linemen are the only piece of the puzzle consistently missing.
Milford Mill
Finally, they will visit Milford Mill, who went 4 and 6 last season. This is a team who was not good, and are losing many of their best players who were the only thing preventing this team from a major breakdown. Many of their starting linemen are freshmen and sophomores, and the school's coaches are hoping this coaching and mentorship will steer these players in the right direction with the right attitude.
