The most obvious trade that had the biggest effect in the playoffs was the Outlaws - Yeti trade. This trade sent cornerback Philippe Carter and defensive end Big Bot to the Arizona Outlaws, while sending wide receiver Mayran Jackson, newly drafted safety Vash Erikson, and the Outlaws season 4 second round pick to the Colorado Yeti. It was a huge trade that many people talked about, but it really helped the Outlaws in the playoffs.
In the two rounds of the playoffs, both defensive players produced. Philippe Carter got four tackles, five pass defences, and two interceptions. Big Bot got six tackles and two sacks. That was a big help in their pursuit of their third straight Ultimus trophy. The year before they had had Jason Williams as their number one cornerback and Luke Pierce as their defensive tackle, so this was a big gain.
On top of the gains, however, they really didn't lose anything. Carter was a definite improvement over Erikson, so that is not a loss until the future. The season 4 second ended up not being anything, and might not even be an inactive. The big loss could have been Mayran Jackson, but that was an issue. Dustin Evans had 222 yards and a touchdown, and C.A. Chess had 170 yards and 3 touchdowns, so receivers were still fine.

Forget one series MVP, let me tell you the MVP of the whole playoffs! That MVP is not one, but two Outlaws players, wide receiver C.A. Chess and cornerback Franklin Harris Jr.
Chess had incredible numbers in the playoffs. He played like a true number one, garnering 170 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in the playoffs. what makes those numbers even more impressive? all three touchdowns came in the championship game! He was a massive red zone target and shined when the team needed it most. He way upped his play from the regular season to the playoffs, and that is the definition of an MVP, someone who is clutch when it matters the most
Franklin Harris Jr. is another big contributor, and the fact that he is a rookie only makes the feat that much more impressive. In his two games he was able to put together 10 tackles, 6 pass defences, and a whopping 4 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown in the Ultimus game! In case you're wondering, that incredible stat line translates to 70 tackles, 42 passes defences, and a monstrous TWENTY EIGHT interceptions in a regular season. And he did it all as a rookie! If that isn't MVP worthy, i dont know what is!
That Magic Moment: Pick one moment from a playoff game and describe what made it so amazing to watch. (Must be completed after the game you write about unless you saw the sim in advance)
9:11 2nd and 6 ARI - 31 Pass by Bronko, K., to Tuck, J.. INTERCEPTION by Bavitz, I. at the ARI - 33 yard line and returned for 14 yards.
8:51 1st and 10 ARI - 19 Boss, M. SACKED by Harrif Ernston - LB for -5 yds.
8:29 2nd and 15 ARI - 24 Pass by Boss, M., to Phelps, R.. INTERCEPTION by Harris Jr., F. at the ARI - 19 yard line and returned for -2 yards.
This really was the moment that sealed the victory for the Outlaws in the ASFC. It was already 20-0 going into the half and it was halfway into the third, a win was likely, but crazier things have happened in the NSFL for sure. with nine minutes left in the third, Outlaws quarterback King Bronko threw his first pick of the game, giving Orange County players and fans hope that they could turn this game around.
Then, the next two plays crushed that hope. Boss was sacked by the Outlaws Harrif Ernston. to add insult to injury, rookie corner and son of former Orange County player Franklin Harris Jr. picked off Boss to put them back in possession. The Outlaws wouldn't score on this drive, but it didnt matter, the Otters spirits were crushed.
