Calkewlated Chambers III high point this season was the preseason and Week 12. Cal had high expectations entering the league and wanted to prove himself early. He did this in the second preseason game where he led the team in defensive stats. He had a great preseason but that tapered off and his play became relatively quiet. His best game was when the Sabertcats defeated the Yellowknife Wraiths. He recorded 6 tackles with 2 for a loss. Despite not the best stat line in the game, it was a good victory which kept their playoff hopes alive. His parents actually made the trip out San Jose to watch that game. It was the first game which Cal had family present.

Seeing his season slipping away as the Otters were winning their games and clinching their playoff berth, The Sabercats were playing the best team in the league. Cal had 3 major mental mistakes that cost his team 25 yards in penalties. It was a defeat that hit hard for his first season after the NSFL draft. If anything he will work hard on the off season to return a stronger and faster player.
