When Lincoln Jefferson hangs up the cleats for the final time, he plans to break ground on a children’s hospital. Plans of the hospital have begun to surface. The hospital will be constructed in downtown Philadelphia. The hospital will specialize in helping children obtain and rehabilitate using prosthetic limbs.
The biggest hurdle in starting the hospital will be to obtain funding. Despite Jefferson being one of the top safeties in the NSFL, his salary has been low and with the expensive training regimens required to stay at peak performance it is unlikely he will have a substantial savings to put towards the hospital’s construction. Recently, Jefferson has been seen at many of the black-tie, big donor events in Philadelphia. Many are speculating that he is seeking funding from the 1%’ers in Philadelphia.
With the atrocities in Africa and the Middle East there are more children than ever who need access to top notch amputee and rehabilitation specialists. This hospital would be a first of its kind, in that it would accept children who have been seriously injured in war zones all over the world.

However, with his grit and determination he was able to rehab enough to play the sport he loved once again.
