Printed and released just yesterday, The University of Arizona Daily Star featured former collegiate hero Allen Davis on the front page of their newest issue. Davis was a hero for the Wildcats when he played for them in college and it is only fitting that the most successful NSFL player to come from the school should be featured on the 50th anniversary edition copy of the magazine. The magazine goes over all of the greatest moments in football history over the last 50 years of coverage. They brought in Allen Davis to not only do the photoshoot for the front page, they also got an interview on his famous 97 yard return pick 6 against the Sun Devils that won the game and sent the teamto the Fiesta Bowl. When Davis was contacted by members of the Daily Star he couldn't turn them down. Davis knows how beloved he is to the state of Arizona, after all he has spent his entire career playing football in the desert. It was no surprise then, that the issue was one of their top selling of all time as both Wildcat and Outlaws fans snatched up their own copies.Davis even had a signing event where lucky fans could go and get their issue signed.
