When asked to be on the cover of NSFL: The Magazine’s Impact Rookie of Season 3 Spread, William Ridley was honoured. Being one of 6 special edition covers including Franklin Harris Jr, Trey Willie, the GOAT Clifford Rove, Julian O’Sullivan and Ricardo Sandoval with a profile on each of the players within.
The process was incredibly fun for Ridley, with all of the guys coming together to ham it up for the camera and put on their best war faces. There was a lot of trash talk, a lot of oneupmanship, not to mention the amount of shit talking about stats.
It was also a great opportunity to get to know 4 of his class of Season 3 peers. All of the guys got together for a meal afterward and it was really good to get to know these players, Rove and Ridley were already becoming fast friends in Philadelphia, and it was another opportunity to galvanise that bond.
The actual shoot itself was a great learning opportunity for media graduate Ridley, who absorbed a lot of information of what it was like working on a professional set. As he was heading back to Philadelphia, Ridley thought about the future, how he may be the one taking photos of rookies in the future.
