When it came to selecting me for the Sports Illustrated cover, I was told it was a no brainer. “We wanted the face of the Liberty offense, and you’re the most high profile guy they have.” I guess with Omar Wright phoning it in lately, I’m not really surprised. Another season or two though and I think they’ll be going after Clifford Rove, but for now I’ll enjoy the limelight. It’s been nice being high profile ever since I caught that baby, and I’ve been catching passes ever since.
At first, I thought it was just for another swimsuit edition, which Paul, Lincoln, Micah, Omar and I participated in last year (you’re welcome, ladies), but it’s nice to get some individual recognition now and again. Which isn’t to say we wouldn’t all do it again in a heartbeat, but it’s not quite as fun now that we’re all taken, I guess.
In the end, it’s just another page in the history books. I gave a quick interview, talked about some of my goals for S4, and how I expect it to be my best year yet what with the OL improvements and all, and moved on from there. Everyone should go pick it up, it’s pretty sweet. Happy to sign them at the cheesesteak places if you catch me there too. Peace!
