Going into season four, the Baltimore Hawks were in dire need of fresh blood at the running back position. They had to replace Marcus Robinson and Darlane Farlane. In Robinson's case, his commitment to the game died off very early on, but the team had no choice of keeping him in the starting lineup. Feature back Darlane Farlane had extreme promise early on, his rookie season he carried the Hawks on his back all the way to the Ultimus game. He won the offensive rookie of the year award and the future seemed bright. However, he experienced a severe hangover in his sophomore campaign. Perhaps the incredibly large workload from the previous season burned him out? After S3 Robinson was sent to the minors and Farlane was relegated to the bench in favor of Owen Taylor and Dieter Koch, the new RB and FB. Both these players have shown great promise through four games. Taylor is a super fast, do everything back. He carries a big workload and has ripped off the second longest run in league history. Koch is a strong blocker and safety valve of a pass catcher. Both players have given the Hawks a great boost in the present and will continue to do so for the long term. (212)
