Philippe Carter is a beautiful match with Las Vegas. Joining a Las Vegas team that had a barren roster at the end of S3 was raised as questionable to some, but undoubtedly there were many factors that convinced Carter. One of them was the stockpile of rookies on the squad. The Legion picked eight times in the S4 draft, which included many DSFL stars, such as Blackford Oakes and Shawn Ariel. Also, another factor for Carter was Wyatt Fulton. It is no secret that Fulton and Carter are great friends, and most likely wanted to play for each other. So when Fulton was traded to the Legion, the Legion knew that they were going to secure Carter. Carter is also good friends with a good many of the players on the Legion, and it makes sense that Carter would want to play with teammates who are enjoyable. On the playing field, this makes fantastic sense. The Legion were needing a #1 CB badly, as the season before, they had Leon Morgan and Stanislaw Maddox as their two guys, a weak unit. Carter makes this secondary look so much better, and it's just what the Legion needed. Both on and off the field, this deal makes sense.
