Free Agents have generally been viewed as a quick way to patch holes in your roster, but not the way to build a contender. Free Agents are usually, older and more expensive, but are usually better than a FOB (Fresh Off the Bench) rookie. So let's examine some of these signings.
1. Josh Garden $23,000,000 - Outlaws: So this signing was clearly helpful to the team as they have the leading receiver in the league, but at what cost? pretty hefty but it doesn't matter as their drafted core doesn't command much salary anyway.
2. Gosh Jarden $12,000,000 - Wraiths: This is a downgrade from Garden but the Wraiths love him just the same. For half the price of name brand, he is contributing and doing what's necessary to help this team in the passing attack.
3. Philippe Carter $2,000,000 - Legion: Well the best LR (allegedly) in the league nabbed the best defensive piece on the market and it will surely bolster their pass defense. At such a cheap price too. What a great signing.
4. Wyatt Fulton $1,000,000 - Legion: Part two of the great offseason haul has them nabbing an impact linebacker. Hopefully this will be enough to bolster the defense and propel the LR from being fun to being winners.
