When he announced his declaration for the NSFL season 3 draft Jonathan received many messages from different GM's who wanted to get to know him and also sent out a little reason to every GM on why they should draft him. Two teams made it clear on draft day that he was going to get drafted by them sometime in the later rounds it was the Otters and the Outlaws both teams told Jonathan if he was available that he would be a perfect pick for their teams. With long talks with the Outlaws manager it looked as if Jonathan were to get drafted by them but in the 5th round Orange County got a steal by picking him up with the 35th pick just 5 picks before Arizona said they would have gotten him. Things could've been very different if drafted by Arizona putting up decent numbers as a rookie for the Otters things could have changed Jonathan would have a ring under his name but his stats could be completely different he could've been put in the DSFL to develop his player. We dont know how things would have been but Jonathan is happy to be in Orange County where he has developed strong bonds with his teammates
