Dan got a phone call from a friend who happened to be visiting San Jose.
Generally he wants to just take it easy and hang out with Lord Nibbler and relaxing from practice but his friend Drew wanted to go out and have fun on the town.
They ended up going to a club and got free VIP service due to Dan's noteriety. Sometimes he feels awkward about getting free stuff for playing a game, but he doesn't really enjoy the club scene so the VIP area is pretty nice.
Anyways, Dan is playing wingman for his friend and just enjoying catching up, meanwhile a fight breaks out. Some guy starts swinging at drew because the girl he was buying drinks for is now hanging out with Drew and Dan instead. Dan being quite a big guy intervenes and separates the dude. He swings and hits Dan so he pushes both Drew and the dude far back away from each other. The guy falls to the ground and 5 bouncers come up and cuff everyone involved to wait for the police to arrest them.
Drew, Dan and the random person trying to fight ended up getting booked and the police officer named Bob , who was monitoring the booking jail, starts trash talking. "Football players are all the same. Big dumb guys that will fight anyone over any dumb reason."
Dan didn't engage or say a word.
He mad his call to Lord Nibbler who immediately went down to the club to get the CCTV film of what happened. Dan gave that to the police but also immediately gave it to the media. As soon as the footage was shown that Dan was only breaking up the fight and only diffused the situation, he was immediately released.
Bob looked pissed that he had to release Dan, and never took back anything that he said. Dan smiled and went home for the night. The next day, he had his agent research and figure out most of the other officers that worked there and gave out free Sabercats tickets to everyone at the station except for Bob.
