I am going to surprise everybody and/or nobody and say that I expect Carlito Crush to have the biggest impact on his team. It was tempting to say Bly, but the Yeti defense already had some decent talent. Getting an occasional first down will do a lot more for Colorado’s defense than any defender could. On top of that, having another weapon on offense might not just keep the defense off the field long enough to breathe, but might actually result in the Yeti scoring actual points, something the Yeti were last in the league at. In fact, the Yeti actually put up 39 fewer points than the next worst team (the Legion). This probably doesn’t surprise anyone, but the Yeti weren’t the worst offense in terms of yards, having moved forward about 90 more yards than Las Vegas. Why, then, did they score 39 fewer points? Because once the defense got bunched up, Pierno lacked a single receiver who could get open and/or catch (an issue that contributed to his 25 INTs). With Crush, the Yeti have that, and will have more success converting first downs and touchdowns. In addition, the best running back in the league now has better blocking, which can’t hurt either.
