Lavelle decided to fly home for this years Christmas instead of spending his time in Yellowknife like he had for the past 3 years. The journey lasted approximately 8 hours to touch down in Mayo and a further hour again to get to his local village. The Christmas went the same as any other, after waking up sometime around 12pm and opening presents from family and friends they then moved onto playing video games while anxiously awaiting Christmas dinner. After dinner there was of course, dessert which was finished in record time. Lavelle also spent St. Stephens day at home where life was a little less hectic than the day and night before!
After saying his goodbyes, Lavelle flew home from knock airport before touching down in Yellowknife sometime after 2am where a long and arduous flight had tired him out before hitting the hay.
Lavelle woke up sometime near noon before getting ready for mandatory NSFL training camps on the 27th of December. The pads were on and everybody was ready for work, whether it was Lavelle dropping easy interceptions, Akselsen chucking hand punt interceptions down field or Eric Kennedy fumbling after every contact, you could see the christmas turkey still had the Wraiths team firmly in its clutches.
