1 - Definitely Philadelphia. New Orleans is a successful team who has beaten us in meaningful games. We have a legitimate rivalry. They beat us in the Ultimus. We beat them in the Ultimus. It's a back and forth that is worthy of the memes from NOLA. Philly? They're just sad. They're kind of pathetic. They are about to lose their two best defenders this off season, after shipping off a second round pick to get them. Their smack talking is so annoying because its backed up by nothing.

2 - I think Avon should be a first ballot hall of famer. Avon is the most efficient passer in NSFL history. He has made the Pro Bowl 8 straight seasons, at two different positions. Second all time in Passing Yards, Touchdowns, Completion Percentage, the all time leader in passing rating as well as leading the Hawks to the Ultimus and an eventual title. I don't see how King Bronko can make the Hall of Fame and Avon not make it.

3 - It's going to be a great game for sure. These two teams are fairly evenly matched but if I have to make a prediction there is a 0% chance I am picking against the Hawks. I obviously am going to pick us, I think our front 7 should be able to bother Borkus and hopefully get a ton of sacks.

1. Honestly beating Orange County has become kind of old hat at this point. I'm not sure we've ever met in the playoffs in what would be considered an even match-up so it's not exactly unexpected. The NSFL has become so much about quarterback timelines and unfortunately for them they've been a step or two behind since Showbiz took over for Boss. Once Showbiz maxes out then we'll be on a bit more of an even playing field.

2. Expectations are, of course, to win and bring home another championship. Our two games against Baltimore this season have been decided by 3 and 6 points, respectively, so I fully expect another tight game but home field is stupid in this sim so New Orleans gets the nod. The teams are pretty evenly balanced across the roster but I do think that New Orleans has an advantage at wide receiver depth that could come into play late in the game due to the way the sim throttles receivers. So tl;dr sim sucks, NOLA doots.

3. Regression is lame as fuck and since I've spent the last 2 seasons yo-yoing between 90 and 100 endurance I'm kind of excited to start a new player and start applying useful TPE again. Not sure when that'll be but probably within a couple of seasons.

4. I have nothing but hate in my heart so let's do this one by process of elimination. Otters are big stinky so not them. Same with Outlaws. Philly would've been in consideration at one point but they've definitely ratcheted up the annoying factor and it'd be harder for me to mock them if I was on them. Yellowknife deleted my collection of bulges from their discord so they can fuck off. I don't really have anything against San Jose and like a lot of the young players there but it would hurt to be in the same conference as New Orleans so scratch them off. That leaves the two teams that had the best pitches when I kinda sorta tested free agency: Baltimore and Colorado. The strike against Colorado is, of course, that they fucking suck and I don't know if it's bad luck or a curse or what but they just take blow after blow. That said, dropbear's free agency pitch to me was completely made up of self-deprecating memes so that's something I can appreciate and I think it'd be fun to try to turn the Yeti around. Plus Colorado is awesome. Baltimore on the other hand severely lacks in the memeing department and definitely feels too mature for someone like me. However, I do know and like a large portion of their roster and I feel bad for slm since I carried him while we GMed the Swifties together and I think he's lost his touch in his old age and his ability to consistently win without me so out of pity I'd probably pick Baltimore.

New Talent: Write about which S11 trade will or did have the biggest impact in the playoffs. Can be written at any time depending on if you choose to write about who already has or who will do good

When you look at a new acquisition and the level of impact they are going to have, you certainly have to say Ryan Applehort. The Baltimore Hawks were in need of a quarterback with Avon Blocksdale regressing and all that. They were able to get Ryan Applehort and he was a big impact all season. He was a clear pro bowl level quarterback for the team, and threw to the bevy of pass catchers that the Hawks Had. Trey Willie was a monster yet again (a certain first ballot hall of fame level player), Vinnie Valentine had an incredible year and broke out to be the heavy favorite for breakout player of the year. In addition to that, there was top tight end Verso L'Alto, other awesome tight end Declan Harp and monster running back (and most valuable player contender Owen Taylor). All of these players would have been useless if the Hawks did not have a Quarterback. So it's very important that they got Ryan Applehort. I am certain he is going to have a big impact in the playoffs just like he had a big impact on the regular season. The Colorado Yeti were the team that lost him, and the Yeti are going to pay for him walking in FA because I am certain Applehort is going to rock them. 223

When thinking of playoff series MVP I want to discuss the National Simulation Football Conference Championship game. This took place between the Baltimore Hawks and the Colorado Yeti. In this game the Baltimore Hawks blew out the Coloarado Yeti, the finals score was an embarrassing 45 to 7. This is even more embarrassing when you realize that the Colorado Yeti scored the first points of the game, going up 7 to 0 and then wound up getting demolished with the Baltimore Hawks scoring an astounding 45 points unanswered to the close out the game. When thinking of the most valuable player it was very simple. Hawks Hall of Famer and Wing of Honor member Trey Willie was incredible. On offense he was not cover able at all. Trey Willie had 8 catches for 107 yards and he got into the end zone twice. That alone is an impressive performance, but that's not all. He also was amazing on defense. Willie defensively at the Free Safety position had five tackles a pass deflected and a huge back breaking interception. That all leads to him easily being the most valuable player of this game. This may be the last year Trey Willie played in a Hawks uniform, but he certainly made it worth his while. 213

Hate the Player or the game

Honestly, a team that should not have made the playoffs this year is your Baltimore Hawks. They were god awful compared to years past. Yes, yes, I know they posted a 9-5 record, but two of those wins were against an abysmal San Jose Team that went 1-13, and at that, they didn’t win convincingly, especially in San Jose. Baltimore, even adding Ryan Applehort and moving Avon Blocksdale to CB, you would think would have been much better but they really weren’t. Their pass defense was sixth in the league, out of eight teams. That is not a championship caliber team. Their run and pass offense were both fourth in the league, which is middle of the pack. I mean, they lost at home to the New Orleans Second Line and the Orange County Otters. The Baltimore Hawks really tried to throw this away, and almost had to go into Colorado in the first week of the playoffs because of poor game planning, if the Yeti were able to beat the Otters in week 14, where they only lost by 1, they would have had home field advantage against the Hawks. Whom, by the way, they beat up in Colorado 45-27. The Hawks need to get their shit together, or it’s going to be a long off-season for them.

Magic Moment

If there was any one special moment, well, I can’t just pick one special moment from the New Orleans Second Line vs. the Orange County Otters. The whole game, was just… crazy to watch. The Magical “moment” though, I would have to say, was more than a moment, but a whole quarter. The Third Quarter of that game was the magic moment for the New Orleans Second Line. Going into half time, the Second Line were only leading the Otters 17-10 and it was a close one. Coming out of the gate in the third quarter, the Second Line were able to put up a staggering 17 points on a stout Orange County defense which broke the game out. Once the Otters were down 34-10 going into the 4th quarter it was all but over for them. Yes, yes, we have seen teams come from behind on before on a larger deficit, but it was not this day. New Orleans continued to cruise into the 4th quarter, scoring another touchdown whilst only allowing a field goal. The final was 40-13, and believe me, the game was actually a lot further apart then the score line dictates. New Orleans will ride this into the Ultimus and look to bring the same pressure to the Baltimore Hawks.

THAT MAGIC MOMENT was watching that stupid ugly idiot borkus maximus the third getting sacked that one time by the orange county otters oh man oh man I am still cleaning my keyboard if you know what I mean ha ha yes yes you know what I mean because it was just so amazing watching borkus maximus the third and his ugly face get sacked that one time so gratified seeing his dumb mug fall to the ground it was not actually a very hard hit and it wasn't really at an important moment in the game because you know the new orleans second line completely pooped all over the orange county oranges but you know what that is okay because it was nice seeing his jersey get dirty for once like ha ha what is this a tide commercial you idiot go eat some dirt you know which he did not becasue the hit wasn't very bad he just kinda fell over and accepted the sack other than force a throw so you know it could have been better but I was still quite happy I only find joy in other people's suffering which is why I was so happy to see him get sacked.

Unsung Hero
The unsung hero of this playoff campaign was draftee free agent Lucius Kaine of the Tijuana Luchadores who despite his fantastic ball handling skill and great speed failed to find time on the field for the Luchas this season. Kaine has already been dubbed one of the top prospects in the upcoming draft, boasting one of the best athletic builds and having an absolute monstrous drive to be successful. After being told by management that he would not be playing for the remainder of the S11 DSFL year, Kaine returned to his team in Ohio State to help the Buckeyes to another national championship over the Duke Blue Devils. Kaine was a massive player during the final game for his team, putting up some highly competitive stats with eight receptions for one hundred and eighty three receiving yards and two touchdowns. His impact on the field was able to help the Buckeyes take the game and in reward for his time at Ohio State Kaine has already been in the discussion for the team's ring of honor. The season ended for Kaine with him passing on his role as the offensive captain of the Buckeyes roster to another great young receiver who looks to follow in his footsteps and someday declare for the draft, Marius Bauer.

Going to Disneyland
While many years the offer of Disneyland is given to the league's most valuable player, this season the recipient was none other than young wide receiving talent Lucius Kaine. While the receiver didn't have any part in his teams run, he was named the Heisman trophy winner for the second time in his career, becoming one of very few people to accomplish this fight. In recognition and to celebrate his career with Ohio State, the coaches and players pool together money in order to send the young star for the trip of his life. Accompanied by his wife Kiera and their two year old son Augustin, the family celebrated a great last season of college football in the best way, surrounded by the magic of disneyland. Unquestionably the most happy person among the bunch was young Augustin, who was snapped many times grinning from ear to ear and laughing with the many characters of disneyland. Kaine has this to say in the interview.

"I can't thank this team enough for making my tear here so memorable. There has been so much that you have done for me and my family throughout my whole time in this school and it's going to be a real pain letting go of all of it and moving onto my career in the professional ranks. It's been a wonderful four years, but it's time to go."

That Magic Moment
One of the most magical moments of this entire season in football was in the college football national championship game between Duke and Ohio State where receiver Lucius Kaine made an absolutely jaw dropping catch with only fifteen second left before time ran out to win the game for his Buckeyes. With the game tied up 17-17 heading into the last minute, Kaine took it under his own charge to make sure the game didn't head to overtime where the Buckeyes defense would be unlikely to hold up. On the final drive, Kaine called for a short pass play with solid blocking to give him room to charge down the field and make his case, and he got just that. As the ball hit his hands, it was like time slowed down. With help from his fellow receivers and running back, Kaine moved past the linebacker group and safeties and charged into open field before one of the opposing corner backs got a hand on him. As the opposing player made contact, Kaine lost control of the ball for a slight second before doing a half flip over the shoulder of his enemy and catching the ball again at the fifteen yard line. Remaining on his feet, Kaine proceeded to take the ball and run it in for what is likely the most memorable touchdown in all of college football history. The Buckeyes reigned supreme.

Robbed: The Philadelphia Liberty won half of their games, so they were not by any means a bad team. The NSFC was a much weaker division than the lopsided ASFC, so the Liberty could easily have made it; in fact, the Colorado Yeti, who squeaked into a playoff position, only had one more win than them, so it is hard to say they were more worthy. The Liberty worked very hard and saw great improvement this season, playing evenly on the road and at home. They were 4-2 against teams in their division although some of that can be attributed to the ailing Yellowknife Wraiths. Still, they succeeded against their primary competition, but it still wasn't quite enough. They narrowly were eliminated, and it can be argued that they deserved to make the playoffs, and they they were practically even with the Yetis. The Liberty finished extremely well, trying to make one final push, and won 3 of their last 4 games. They ended on a high note, winning their final game, while the Yeti lost 2 of their last 3 and lost their final game. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough to overcome a rough start, which was probably just an unlucky stretch, or their preseason struggles, which sapped the momentum going into the season. It would be unsurprising, however, if they passed Colorado next season and found themselves in the playoffs.

Playoff Review: It was a great year in the NSFL for both the Hawks and Second Line, who won comfortably in their conference matchups. The Hawks may have been the slight favorites going in, as their 45-7 pounding of the Yeti was a wider margin, but you must consider that Second Line's opponent, the Otters, came in with a better record, and were still resoundingly crushed 40-13. The Hawks also had a poor start even against the Yeti, as they were tied up after the first quarter, but they closed up well, allowing the Yeti to score no points in the final three quarters. Holding a team scoreless for an entire half is a pretty impressive feat and a testament to the strength of the Hawks' defense. Second Line also started poorly in the first quarter, scoring no points and going down 7-0, but then bringing it home with 34 points between the 2nd and 3rd quarters. These were two teams that started sluggishly but finished with ferocity, so it was bound to be an interesting match-up. Second Line had the best record in the NSFL, and they had to show in the championship that those numbers didn't lie and that they truly were the best. The Hawks were clearly very close in both skill, drive, and competitiveness, forcing the game to OT to settle the winner. Baltimore came up just short, losing 42-36, and in spite of a great effort, Second Line will be the ones showing off their championship rings.

That Magic Moment: While it may have been their only score of the game, it was pretty awesome to watch the Yeti snag the first touchdown of the night in the semifinals against the Baltimore Hawks. Off the snap, Micycle McCormick tucked the ball up against his chest and scanned the field for an open man to toss it to. He picked out Mark Grau trying to flag him down, and decided to attempt a 9 yard pass. It was just an absolutely beautiful throw from Colorado quarterback Micycle McCormick, a perfect spiral that was ready to tumble out of the air into Mark Grau's waiting arms, as if it was meant to be. Grau, camped in the end zone, evading cover, sprung lightly off the turf with arms outstretched, and snatched the ball with firm, confident hands. The excitement on his face as he celebrated was contagious, and for neutral observers, this early lead made it difficult not to want to root for the underdogs. It was a perfectly executed pass and play, and it seemed even the Hawks fans were stunned into silence by this enthralling touchdown. It demonstrated that the Colorado Yeti were to be taken seriously, and that Baltimore could not merely coast into the finals. It was pretty magical for Grau to score in such a momentous game as well, a moment he will likely treasure for the rest of his career.

You had a strong all-around season as a rookie LB; which statistic are you most proud of and why?

I guess I'm supposed to say that I dont care about personal stats only team success. Honestly though, this is a sim league, personal stats matter. I would have to say I'm proud of the sacks. My tackle numbers were lower than a couple test sims predicted.

The Pythons dominated the league pretty much all season, other than the one loss to the Marshals. Is it relieving to not have to face them (as in the Marshals) in the championship game?

I am confident about our chances no matter who we face. I assume anyone can beat us on an off day, and no one can beat us when we play our best. With that in mind, I have no reason to be relieved. We will have to work just as hard to beat Tiajuana as we would have to beat San Antonio

You went pretty late in the rookie draft, and were in fact the second LB drafted to Portland. How has this impacted you?

As a relative unknown, having hardly updated, in a draft that included multiple GMs, such as Ckroyal, you (Mavfatha), 4D Chess, and Iamslm, I expected to be drafted late. I expected to go sooner than I did, and there were definitely some mistakes ahead of me. I just go out with #22 on my jersey as a reminder of how many people were taken before me and I use that as motivation.

(Out of character) What are the origins of your player's name?

A high school near me had a linebacker named Logan Lejune a couple years back. He seemed to be very brash and cocky. He was known as a hard hitter who could lay the boom on people. The name isn't very original, but I use it anyway.

1. Sadly the game went just about as I would've predicted. I had hoped we could keep it closer, but man the Pythons really had our number all season. We only lost 5 games total, and 4 of them were to Portland. Tough to think about what could've been but we easily could've been facing off in the finals instead if one of us had been in the SFC.

2. I'm not sure to be honest. It's a little weird to think about a defensive lineman like myself garnering consideration for an early pick; I've always been conditioned to expect the flashy skill positions on both sides of the ball to get the spotlight and the big bucks. The game has seemed to be changing in recent years though so maybe I'm underestimating myself and my position. In talking with GM's I do get the feeling that I'm fairly high on draft boards, but if I had to make a prediction I'd guess around the same number 5 spot is my expectation.

3. Part of playing on the defensive line, and especially at DT, is that the better you are, the less likely the other team is to run the ball your way. As part of that, it can really deflate your statistics even when you're doing your job out there. There were some positives, like tying for the team lead with 4 sacks, but overall in an ideal world my name would be in the box scores more often for big defensive plays and less often for penalties while I'm at it. Sometimes it doesn't work out like that though.

4. So I'm going to look at this in 2 ways. If I had to just take players from one team and call it a group, I'd go with the Otters. They have a young QB and RB on the rise along with a pair of star receivers that I could entrust the team's offense to. Playoff Review
For the DSFL playoffs, it was not a good time to be a 9-5 time. First we had the Marshals with that record taking on the Luchadores, who only managed 5 wins all regular season and almost missed out on the playoffs entirely to the Solar Bears. However, everything changed for the Luchadores come playoff time, as Wozy and Asipi carried the offense as each consistently moved the ball while most importantly committing no turnovers. On the other hand their defense - especially Montgomery, Smyles, and Murphy - led to two takeways for the team, and winning the turnover battle was enough for them to win the game. Next up is a game I lived through once already and would prefer not to repeat, as Cox, Smallwood-Chess, and Shady were all dominant on offense for the Pythons, Boechler tossed 3 INT's for us, and Trout plus Lejune LB duo was nigh unstoppable as the Pythons took down the Coyotes once again this season 23-6, securing their place in the finals with the outmatched Luchadores. The final game was actually much closer than I would've expected, with San Antonio jumping out to an early lead on a field goal before the two teams traded field goals in the second quarter leading to a 6-3 Luchadores lead at the half. However, that was as much as they could do, as Portland would put up 10 unanswered in the second half to claim the title. Slim Shady picked up an impressive 112 yards on the ground in the game for the Pythons, but it was the Luchadores' Fin Jameson that had a big impact on the game in picking off Cox and sacking him once as well. We also had Skarsgard and Trout, two of the top LB prospects, leading their respective teams in tackles with 15 and 12.
