After Vash Erikson left the Ohio State Buckeye football team, he set out for a career as a professional football player. Multiple leagues were around and he figured he would tryout for the NFL. Being from New Jersey, Vash headed down to East Rutherford, New Jersey and got himself a motel room. Within walking distance was MetLife Stadium, home to the New York Giants and the New York Jets. A nice two for deal, as far as try outs would go.

First, The Giants, a team already invested heavily in their defense, Vash found himself offered to play depth at safety, with possibility to play special teams, but no promises were made. He was even told there was no guarantee he would even make the practice squad if some other players panned out. So the Giants were a no go.

Second and finally, The Jets, Vash was warmly regarded as an up and coming talent who could have a bright future on special teams and potentially start at safety within the first year or two. But given the history of the Jets recently, Vash did not feel that it would be a stable fit for his talents.
This led Vash Erikson to declare his draft eligibility to the NSFL.

An NFL tryout, huh? That sounded nice to Bailey Cook, star receiver for the Yellowknife Wraiths.

Which teams would he try out for? It only makes sense that he tries out for the three that are in his home state of Florida: the Dolphins, the Jaguars and the Buccaneers.

First up was the Miami Dolphins, on September 23rd. Oh... it was September 22nd? That would explain why there was nobody there when he went to the facilties. Oh well, he didn't really want to play for the Dolphins anyways.

Next up was the Jacksonville Jaguars. For this one, he actually had the correct date. That's a good start. He had a decent tryout to boot, catching many of the balls that came his way. Unfortunately, the Jaguars brass determined they were pretty set in the receiving corps, with the likes of Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee, among others.

Finally, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came around, and Bailey was ready. After all, this was his childhood team. He hit on all cylinders during the tryout, and was invited to join the squad. This surprised everyone, including Cook, and he now had a massive decision to make. It was quite the experience, but after much thought, he decided that he is much better off staying loyal to his friends and team in the NSFL.

Cook might not be a Wraith for life, but at least for the foreseeable future, he will be remaining up north, no matter what NFL team comes calling.

This year for training camps, Godfrey king was contacted by the Cleveland Browns. Seeing as year after year they've been garbage, the Browns decide to go ahead and let Godfrey try out for whatever position he pleases. First Godfrey tried his hand at quarterback. With much grace and precision, King perfectly weaved through collapsing defenders in the pocket before rifling the ball to a wide open receiver in the end zone. He could tell the coaches were impressed, but was asked to stop trying out at that position. Apparently management got a real scare that Kings prowess at the quarterback position would ruin their chances to tank and screw up another first round pick. Still wanting to try out other positions, King grabbed the ball and started doing reps as a running back. It was no surprise that King could truck through defenders with ease, but he still found a way to have all eyes on him, putting defender after defender into the metaphorical blender. Management got a little angrier at that point. Not only was King showing he would be too good for the Browns, but he also broke the ankles of at least 5 of the players most detrimental to the Browns defense. This meant that the Browns might actually have to compete against the other teams in the NFL! A pure outrage!

During the summer of the NFL off-season, the Baltimore Ravens had the idea that they were missing something. While they have Joe Flacco as a QB up the middle, they have been watching Scrub Kyubee of the Hawks over the course of last season, and liked what they saw, so they offered Scrub a tryout.

Scrub Kyubee was all ears, and although was never considering actually signing a contract and leaving the NSFL, he went to the NFL training camp. At training camp, Scrub was finding his receivers pretty well, and was basically on par with Flacco. He got along with the teams, and the NFL guys wouldn't stop talking about taking Scrub out of his "bush league". Kyubee didn't like that though, as he's a team player and loyal to the Baltimore Hawks. So he upped his game, and blew Flacco out of the water. He didn't miss a pass all training camp. He threw faster, and further than any other QB at camp.

By the end, he was offered a NFL contract, and declined it to head back to the NSFL. Maybe one day late in his career he'll take a retirement contract and go to the NFL to try and win a Super Bowl, but not any time soon. All he wants to do now is win a championship in the NSFL.

All world running back Reg Mackworthy unsurprisingly is being recruited by NFL teams. They've taken notice of his rushing, receiving and return prowess and hope to pull him from the back to back NSFL champion Arizona Outlaws. This will be tough as Reg is a cornerstone piece of the franchise but he's agreed to try out for his favorite team growing up. The Denver Broncos. Reg Mackworthy's uncle Terrell Davis use to play for Denver so he's got a nice connnection there, plus he uses John Elway in his avatar which Denver obviously has taken notice of. Mackworthy was flown to Denver for a trout at mile high stadium. They put him through his paces, timing him in all the athletic tests like the 40 yard dash, where he ran a 3.75 second 40. The vertical jump, where he touched 9 feet, among other drills, all of which Mackworthy dominated. Denver was obviously interested until they caugh ol'Reg banging one of the cheerleaders behind the tackling dummies. Denver decided they can't have this kind of activity going on in the NFL, that's something more suited for the NSFL. So Reg Mackworthy did not receive a contract offer and will happily continue setting records and banging opposing teams cheerleaders for years to come in the NSFL.

Recently DSFL rookie defensive end Andreas Waiters tried out with the Cincinnati Bengals to possibly replace the aging Michael Johnson in the near future. Through the rough tryout tensions flew between Waiters and current starting left tackle, Ogbuehi. After many plays a couple shoving matches occurred and in one event they needed to be broken up after a couple of punches were thrown. Overall the performance was quite incredible for the young prospect (Waiters). He beat his matchup on the line a couple of times and with his incredible strength, he ripped away from a couple blocks able to reach the running back on multiple occasions. This run stopping ability will come in handy at many points during the season for the Pythons. After the tryout we contacted both Waiters and Ogbuehi but, neither wanted to comment on the matter. We are still attempting to get a statement from the front office on this matter but, a response has not been put out from the P.R. department yet. The question on the table now is if this aggression a possible concern for the rookie Waiters or, is it a sign of passion for the game? Hopefully he can really show a great impact this upcoming season after an impressive preseason performance.

King Bronko garnered a lot of NFL interest before he chose to take his talents to the NSFL. After declaring for the draft after his true sophomore season, back when he was a wide receiver, He received a few combine invites

First on his list was the Houston Texans. As a Baylor student, both Texas teams knew about Bronko, but Houston needed a third option in their pass game, with Jaelen Strong and Braxton Miller not working out as of yet. He was shown all around the city, and his workout with the team went pretty well. Word was that Houston would have taken him first round if he had declared.

Next was the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have had a hard time getting support from their WRs, and Kelvin Benjamin's health has been a concern, So they could have used a better option at WR. Bronko loved the city, the facilities, and the teammates, but rumor is that the coaching staff was not impressed with his workout.

Last was the New York Jets. The Jets were Bronko's favorite team, and they needed some wide receivers. In the end, everything went well, but Bronko actually wasn't a fan of New York, possibly affecting his decision to declare for the NSFL

Coming out of college, the obvious move would've been to go the NFL, the more established and we'll known league in North America. But unfortunately for Franklin Harris Jr., his name had nor been called on draft night. That being said, he did have the opportunity to at least work out as an UDFA for a few teams before ultimately making the decision to join the NSFL.

There were a few teams that accepted his tryout, but one was the most notable, or at the very least was the most likely opportunity he had to make a roster; the Chicago Bears.

Now I know what you're thinking, the Bears have not been in their greatest form recently, especially considering the championship pedigree that the team has in it's past. But things are changing. They're young on both sides of the ball, with a promising QB and a star on the rise at RB. But that's all besides the point, back to the workout. The Bears had Harris replicate what many see at the combine, drills and tests of athleticism. They also had him run routes against current Bears practice squad members. At the end of the workout, they gave Harris the notice that they'd be in touch, and that they were. A week later, they offered Harris a spot on the practice squad to better himself and fight for the starting job. At the end of the day though, he chose the NSFL.
