Pre-game routines for Ian Bavitz have been the same since he was in high-school. Early in his high-school career, he went to a party the day before a game, and like was expected of all high-schoolers, he got absolutely shit-faced on beer.

He awoke the next morning a sweaty, smelly mess, still clothed and crumpled up like a piece of paper in the corner of the couch at someone else's house. He checked the time and realized the team bus was leaving for their away game in 20 minutes, so he rushed down and grabbed his equipment and headed off to the game.

During the game, it was almost as if last-night's beers were causing a supernatural energy, similar to Paul Walker in Fast and the Furious when he hits the NOS. Bavitz was all over the field, creating havoc for the opponent in what would become his best game ever.

Ever since that game, he feels the need to recreate experience in hopes that the power returns to fuel him once more. He's tweaked his ritual a little bit upon growing older, high-school parties aren't exactly his style these days. Bavitz does still go out the night before a game, only now it's to a posh club with a VIP section, he calmly orders a bottle and finds the person in the club that seems like would have the most comfortable couch. After several more bottles and lots of partying, he secures a stranger's couch to pass out on, crumpled up and still clothed, waiting and hoping for the power to return to him.

If we are going to talk about pre-game routine, it seems only fitting to start off by saying Bailey Cook does not hold much belief in superstition. He just approaches everything one game at a time, and thinks that if it was meant to be, then it will be.

So while the receiver does not partake in the same ritual before every game because he believes it will make him better, he does have a relatively similar routine just because it puts his mind at ease.

He always has to have a good meal before the game. Some things he likes best are chicken parmesan with some salad on the side, steak with potatoes, or even a big plate of fish.

Then he always has to listen to music. What kind of music does he listen to? Well, that varies from game to game, depending on how he's feeling. He has designed playlists for all different genres, and he has stated that any kind of music can get him ready for a game in different ways.

Finally, he has to put on his uniform, of course. But unlike most, Bailey Cook takes his time on the cleats. He laces up his cleats from the start before every game, as he said it is relaxing, and helps him focus on precision.

The thing about Wyatt Fulton is just how connected he is to his home state of Colorado and nature in general. Growing up in the mountains of near Fort Collins, Fulton became more than just a fan of nature. His beliefs are a mixture of old world druidism, native american shamanism, and new world wiccanism. Everything revolves around communing with nature and being in-line with the spirits of the natural world.

Twice a month Fulton finds himself in a sweat lodge purifying the negative affects out of him and removing the demons that would cause him trouble during the week of play. Upon the ribs he wears a tattoo of the Crann Bethadh, or Celtic World Tree, to symbolize his connection to all living things on the planet, spirits and his ancestors.

The strangest thing Fulton does would be his need to breathe scented air. This might be a bit of a mental problem for Fulton but he requires a tank of pure oxygen on the sideline, like most players, but it must be the scent of pine trees. He believes that it makes him play better. As Fulton says himself, "I play better when I am reminded of where I am, what I come from and that I am out here to have fun. When the pressure is gone, I can focus on what I do best."

One big pregame routine that Jaylon Lee has is to drink apple juice and eat altoids before every big game. He isn't really sure why he does it, but it started in the second grade and he scored 5 touchdowns in his pop warner game with which he first did it. His mom made him start doing it before every game because she thought that if it worked once it would work again. Ever since then, Lee has kept a fridge full of apple juice and a pantry stocked with altoids. He also always received a pep talk from his mom before each game and still does to this day. He calls his mom before every game and gets her blessing for the game. Growing up she was always Lee's best friend and has become his rock in the midst of a tough league. Although it appears these charms didn't work to well in college, they seem to be working very well in the NSFL as he has gotten off to a hot start, the current leading tackler in NSFL history and a two time champion. Although these seem weird, his dedication to apple juice, altoids, and talking to his mom are clearly what makes Lee successful.

Let me tell you about the lucky routine of Arizona Outlaws star running back Reg Mackworthy.

Step one for him starts the day before. Before every Sunday, he goes down to The Dancing Pirate, an amputee strip club. When he gets there, he asks for his favorite girl, Chastity. She may only have three limbs, but man can she work them. He gets a lap dance from her and nothing more, Mack respects women of the noble profession of stripping.

Next he of course, before pre-game warm-ups, takes the entire opponents cheerleading squad, and bangs them in the locker room. When he first came into the league, he would have to woo every cheerleader in order to try and get with them. Nowadays, the cheerleaders just line up and wait outside the locker room for him. He has actually injured 5 cheerleaders during these "sessions"

After that, theres not much Mack does. He gets his 200 gallon jug of water next to his locker, after his debacle he needs it. He is usually the last one out of the locker room, he has to take a break to avoid cramps. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the game day routine of Reg Mackworthy

Vincent Sharpei isn’t your normal guy when it comes to pregame routines. Vincent Sharpei is a huge fan of ice cream and music. So the night before every game, he ends up going out to the clubs and dances until about 2 A.M. After that, he stops at the local grocery store to pick up a couple pints of his favorite ice cream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Before bed, Vincent Sharpei will eat one of his pints of ice cream and play some old school Tupac and go to bed. The morning of the game, Sharpei will grab his left over ice cream and head over to the Stadium. Once arriving at the stadium, ice cream in hand, Vincent Sharpei shoots the shit with Cornerbacks Benson Bayley and John Canton, as well as WR/TE Darren Smallwood. After shooting the shit, Vincent Sharpei heads to the locker room to get a massage and stretched out before the game. He sits there as he eats his ice cream while all this is happening. He makes sure to finish it and watch a quick rundown of the game plan before he gets onto the field. Once on the field they do their stretches and run a few quick plays before the game starts.

Archetype Schmarchetype has a very specific pregame ritual. Despite being nearly as strong as his best friend and fellow OL @`TimPest`, he still cares very much about his use of hands. To make sure his hands are all warmed up, he takes a pencil and a sheet of paper. With Tim Pest next to him, holding a stopwatch, he prepares, flexing his fingers and twirling the pencil. On three... two... one... go! Schmarchetype begins furiously writing his own name on the paper. It takes him nearly four seconds to get through each one, and once he's finished writing his name, Pest stops the stopwatch. "A minute 20 today, nice work!" Schmarchetype then transfers the pencil to his non-dominant hand, then does the same thing. Archetype can take over twice as long on the other hand, but he still carefully forms all the letters in his excessively long name. All his teammates watch, some admiring the sheer amount of space the name takes up, others gawking over his beautiful penmanship, still more fruitlessly trying to peer over the tall shoulders of Tim Pest to check Schmarchetype's time and compare it with his record.
Needless to say, after this routine, his hands and fingers are all warmed up by the time the game starts.

Paul DiMirio is a complete playbook freak. Never in a game will you see him run a wrong route, or lose his blocking assignment, or miss the play call, or not know exactly what every single other teammate is doing on that play. Him and Fox North will always arrive early to practice to run routes, work the JUGS machine, and perfect everything they can. After that, Paul retreats to the locker room, where he pulls a custom-made playbook off the wall. The glossy pages with neat, clean drawings have been meticulously kept clean, and they are covered in sticky-notes, including the following:

"!Stsp [stutter step] here"
"Adjust to seam"
"If defense showing s-hi [single high] cut to left here"
"Watch the spy coverage"
"DETECT THE BLITZ!"

This one was written in all caps, red pen to stand out to Paul. Once the defense reacted with a delayed MLB blitz. Paul made a quick read then ran out on his route, turning around to see an unblocked defender sack his QB. Paul, from then on, stayed behind to block, regardless of whether it was a three-man rush or a dangerous Engage Eight. Paul would set his block, read the OL situation, and then take off.

TL;DR: Paul DiMirio knows the playbook inside out and back again.

I swear I did already a similar post about Hardrool's pre-game rituals. But apparently still nobody knows about that so I'll remind you his...''lucky charm'' or something. Step by step:

*goes to his locker;
*sees the very yucky jar;
*then he takes it...yuck, it indeed looks very gross;
*when we're looking closer to it, we can see that this jar is filled with...yeah, saliva. You know, Hardrool;
*he opens the jar;
*and spits in it.

That's really his pre-game ritual/routine or whatever you wanna call it. The teammates are trying to not to look at his actions cause it's GROSS! But he doesn't gives a shit, he really believes it's going to help him to perform better. He indeed is doing a good job on the field, but I'm not sure how spitting in the jar has something to do with his performance. Weird ass Clee.

Also, he has one more pre-game routine that happens only before the Cats are playing vs the Liberty team - he eats a lot of marmalades. It's not secret that Clee is making fun of their safety Vikian Marmeladov so this ritual doesn't looks so weird like his main one. They already faced each other in Week 3 where they made a first tie in the NSFL history. Also, they both had a similar performance - 6 tackles. So did that eating marmalade stuff help our favorite steal? Well, well...weird ass Clee.

Gregor Clegane has started every game this season with his lucky tibetan prayer flags tied to his pads underneath his jersey. After the avalanche he and his expedition encountered while climbing in the Himalayas Clegane spent several months living with Buddhist Monks in a temple high in the mountains. Running from his own demons he used this time to find peace with himself and his past. However, as Clegane knew that he had unfinished business left on the field he resolved to leave the monastic life behind and return to Orange County.

The prayer flags he brought with him were actually with him on the day of the avalanche. When they left their most recent camp a local Shirpa had tied them onto Clegane's pack for good luck. And as that luck would have it, Clegane was the only survivor of the avalanche. Although some credit it to his professional athlete genetics or his pure force of will, Clegane believes that the prayer flags and the universe spared him that day, so that he could one day return balance to the NSFL. Since he started carrying them through 4 games he has not allowed one sack and has amassed an impressive number of pancakes. Be it the flags or something else, Clegane is back.
