LeClair salutes the fans as they applaud his accomplishment[/div]
New Orleans, Louisiana
Alexandre LeClair has become the 4th Wide Receiver in NSFL history, and the 2nd this season, to pass the 11,000 yards received in their career, after a solid performance against the Arizona Outlaws (1-4) that saw the Second Line (4-1) win a high scoring game.
The game was briefly paused with 10:50 to go in the 2nd quarter to salute LeClair's accomplishment, after he caught a pass from Borkus Maximus for 21 yds, and earning the final yards needed to cross the milestone.
After the game, the veteran Canadian receiver talked to the media, stating that "I never thought that I would get that far in my career. The ovation by the public was very emotional and humbling to me. I couldn't have done it without all the support staff, and the teams I've been on. This is as much my accomplishment as it is theirs."
When asked if he thought he could hit 12,000 he responded: "Honestly, I doubt it. But stranger things have happened in this sport. I'm just enjoying each game as they come. The main goal is still to get that cup ring so I still have to work hard even in my last year." Most people believe that LeClair will not hit 12,000 but could get all the way to 11,500yds at the rate he's going.
LeClair joins Westfield, Garden and Willie as the only receivers to have gone over the 11,000 yards received milestone.
The Second Line travels to San Jose for a week 6 matchup against the Sabercats (0-5).
