Apollo had to take a while to recover. He tried his hardest to put up as many big plays as he could to help get his team over the hump, but it was never enough. Losing to the goddamned Yeti and then dropping a playoff game to the Sabercats was a crushing blow to Apollo's confidence. On top of this, rumors have started to break that his old DSFL team, the Norfolk Seawolves, might be getting contracted by the league soon, and his mother's health has taken a turn for the worse. All of this has made the pressure of being the franchise running back all too real for Apollo.

It has been a long off-season for Lucas Knight since the Outlaws didn't make it into the playoffs; the first thing he did was take a week to clear his mind by returning to Norfolk and say hi to some of his former teammates. After he returned, he decided that his one goal for the upcoming season was to follow a rigorous plan to improve his physical fitness. Knight got tired of being constantly torched by wide receivers during the past season, so until the start of training camp, he has been running track during the morning and hitting the gym in the evening. Now he's ready to see some action during preseason to make the final adjustments to his technique and get to know better his new defensive teammates.

After a decent rookie year that saw him rank near the top of the NSFL in tackles among defensive ends, Nero Alexander decided that he wasn't satisfied and that he needed to take his game to the next level. He organized a series of intensive training sessions with his defensive line pal Ryan Leaf Jr (@ValorX77). First up was the reverse Iditarod (that is, dogs ride on sleds while Nero and Leaf pull them for 900+ miles); they both have good speed but just okay endurance, so this didn't go as well as Nero hoped. They only made it 6 miles before throwing in the towel. Next, they got to work constructing a stately new igloo for Wraiths newcomer Danny Grithead. Leaf and Alexander's immense strength made lifting and assembling the ice blocks an easy task, although with their low intelligence, Grithead better be careful lest the whole structure proves to be fundamentally unsound and comes crashing down. Regardless, Leaf and Alexander have both made significant strides this offseason and will look to impose their will upon offensive lines in their sophomore seasons.
Jammerson Irving has gone through the rigors of a rookie year in the pros, and came out the other side with a Pro-Bowl nod and wealth of experience as to how to be the best professional football player he can be. For the first time in three years, he knows what position he will play full time, what team he will be a part of, and what is expected of him during the off season. So with this continuity, Jammerson has some extra stress free filled time to kill. And there is only one way this native Jamaican plans to spend it: smoking the reefer.
Yup, after two long off seasons showing training for two drafts, Jammerson is gonna sit this next one out and smoke blunts in his homeland alllllll summer. Signing a pro contract was one thing, but making the pro bowl as a rookie is another, so he has earned this time to relax in the off season. No extra training, besides the mandatory mini camps, and no calls from coaches or trainers. Just beaches, music, weed and women. Jammerson Irving will be back balling next season, but he'll be blazing up until then. ![]()
As a player entering the draft, I am spending most of time just getting my mind and body right. I don't like to worry too much about things I can't control and I can't really control what teams think my draft stock may be. All I can do is keep working and pushing myself to compete with the high level of talent that I will find myself lining up against this coming season. In the meantime, you can find me in the gym or with my college video coordinator, watching my old game film and devising ways to improve my play. There are always things that I can improve upon so that there are deficiencies in my game. Come draft day, I'll be ready.

I really don't do much outside of football. To pass the time I've mostly been going to the gym with Brock Landers and my other teammates. I've been running a lot as well, trying to get faster. I've worked my 40 time down to 4.34 and I've also gotten a lot stronger. I nap a lot to recover from the workouts and I also make my own food so I spend a lot of time cooking 4 meals a day. When I do have any relaxation time I'm probably playing 2k or some other game. I'm trying my hardest to be completely ready for this next season so that I can be one of the leagues best defensive backs.

During this offseason, I have been with my family. We celebrated for winning the Ultimus mini. My family and friends wanted to celebrate this moment. It was a great reward after what have done during the regular season. It was a lot of work to get where I am right now. We played against plenty of strong opponents and it wasn't an easy road for us. So spending time with my family means a lot for me. It means I have gotten better and I surpassed many expectations. Being selected in the 13th round is tough because that means you are expected to be good but now I'm a champion!
Now going into his second season with the Liberty, Brannigan has the whole offseason to explore the “cool” place in Philadelphia. Everyone has always recommended seeing the liberty bell, so I gave that a shot. It sucked the bell was old as hell, and gave me the absolute worst allergies imaginable. I would much rather see a Taco Bell because then I can at least enjoy myself. And now I have to spend the rest of the offseason bed ridden because I got sick too. The only thing I enjoyed so far was the Philly cheesesteaks. I am going to need a lot of conditioning to get all this food out of me.
For the offseason, Lavelle Jr. spent his time alongside his loyal agent @iamslm22 fielding questions from prospective GM's before the upcoming NSFL Draft.
Lavelle spent his entire offseason being mugged around by various general managers in interactions which included ridicule, threats of drafting and letting him rot and even a few trades happening during the fallout. Lavelle learnt alot about all the GM's that contacted him, especially when/if he test FA in the near future after being drafted. Lavelle looks forward to passing on this intel to all GM's and players he interacts with in the future. Lavelle wasted his entire offseason by talking to GM's but is thankful for his agents ability to see through the bullshit.
Dick Wizardry sold his house in Yellowknife, packed up his stuff and had it driven cross continent to Austin, Texas within an hour of getting the phone call from Charlie Law. After taking a moment to drop a word for teammate Sandip Bakshi, Dick himself took some time off and went to Hawaii just to relax after his long and fruitless year. Then, after two weeks of enjoying himself, Dick landed in Austin and went straight to the stadium, where he met the management team and got to work. Given the reputations of Law and Crush, Dick signed an extension before the draft even started, seeing their vision for the team and their belief in how players should be treated. The morning of the draft Dick closed on his new house and land, a little 4 acre property that would give him room for all sorts of fun things.
