Despite Vequain's passion and love for football, it is known among Tijuana that Vequain's football talent comes from one thing and one thing only. Yo-yoing. Before discovering football, Vequain was the most talented yo-yoer in the globe. Not ONE of the most talented on Earth. THE most talented yo-yoer to walk the Earth. Vequain began his yo-yo career at the age of just 2 years old, already becoming a top 5 yo-yoer in his home state of Florida before the age of 5 years old. By the time he entered secondary school, Vequain had already won multiple national titles, and was being entered in to the International Yo-yo Championship. However, at this time, Vequain discovered football and loved it. Vequain went on to secure five consecutive international titles, before announcing his retirement, a momentous event amongst the yo-yo community garnering international news coverage. Vequain was sent DMs by people the likes of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Mariah Carey, and Bill Clinton. He put down the yo-yo and did not plan to return, committing to his passion for football. However, at the end of his rookie season, Vequain picked up the yo-yo once more, and though nothing is confirmed, rumour has it that Vequain is planning to stage a grand return to the yo-yo stage. His return would be welcomed with open arms by the yo-yo community, but the question remains as to whether Vequain would have retained his legendary yo-yo talents after all these years.
Jamie Nkiah has two main hobbies outside of training for football; track, and the game of chess. Chess was never a big part of Jamie's childhood but a football coach recommended it to him as a way to keep his brain as sharp as possible, and to develop his strategic mind as much as possible. Although it's a pretty huge change of pace from what he does out on the field, the game really has helped his decision making and ability to think under pressure to an impressive level. During the offseason, Jamie posted some shots on Instagram of him chilling with world champion Magnus Carlsen, and getting a couple games in. Jamie has always been a natural athlete, and competed in track in high school alongside his football training. He has the natural speed and explosiveness to be an effective short distance runner, and was one of the best performers in the 200 metres in the state of Georgia during his time in school. Since then, he's focused more on longer distances so as to not risk injury and improve his cardiovascular ability, but the passion for running he's always had is still there, and it in fact makes up a large amount of his training regime.
You're right, football isn't everything. When Chris Ramos isn't on the football field, you better believe he's on the basketball court. He is an absolute bucket and in his own words, cannot be guarded. He is quick and has an absolutely lethal pull up shot. If you tryna play some ball, no matter what kind of game you're down for, Ramos is always ready to play. Five on five is always the preferred method though, you know it.
Sometimes, people are a little bit wary about playing with Ramos though because he can be pretty intense on the court and if he knows he can cook you, he will, but that doesn't mean Ramos isn't a good teammate. Sometimes, the best thing you can do for a team is take the damn shot yourself. If Ramos wasnt an absolute godly playoff and now regular season quarterback, he definitely would've taken his talents to the court right now. Rumors have been swirling that a joint league with the NSFL might be created but for the sport of basketball. It is true that ramos might be joining that league too, but don't worry Myrtle Beach, don't worry Sarasota, Ramos will be staying here as well. I can't just up and desert you now, so let's keep at it and keep winning games!
Outside of football, Patrik Money has multiple hobbies. Most recently he has become involved in the Championship Fighting Universe to train MMA in order to switch up his training regime. While some may claim he risks injury, Yellowknife encourage this activity with several player in the mixed martial arts league, with some potentially fighting each other in the future. The weight cuts are however a challenge as every weekend Money must cut down to 155lbs before bulking up again to 310lbs for his NSFL game on a Monday.
Money also takes great pride in his Irish heritage. It is for this reason that he grows potatoes in his garden. While initially an homage to his roots, Money is now an avid gardener. Since his move to the great white north, he has now started producing the vast majority of the potatoes consumed in the Yellowknife area. Rumours have been heard that this was one of the main reasons Yellowknife drafted Money as they knew about his love of gardening. When asked for his favourite thing to do with the potatoes, Money responded “Eat them”. While the preparation of the potatoes differ, they are surely useful for his early part of the week bulk.
There are a few things I love to do in my spare time. Sometimes you need to unwind after a hard day of football and the best thing to do is something completely unrelated to the game. It keeps your mind fresh and gives you a much needed break from the grind.
What I love to do is cook. It's been my passion since I was a kid. I never did it professionally because I didn't want to grow to hate it. I just wanted to do it in my down time and have no stress around it. Just make good food for friends and family. I have a ton of recipes passed down to me that I've been making for a long time, trying to perfect. I also love to bake and have been experimenting with different kinds of cakes, muffins, and brownies.
I love to cook for my teammates on off-days and I'll routinely have them over for bbqs and family style dinners. We all love to get together and hang out outside of football, but they all especially love good tasting food. That's where I come in. I take requests each time and make it for the whole team.
Being able to share my passion with my teammates make it that much better. I'll keep doing it as long as they keep coming for it.
Since there's no football of course Nets second activity would include something that fits his athletic background and talents. Net second activity other then football would be to spend every day in the gym and to bust his booty working out on average of 4 hours long doing every single exercise you can imagine. Some of the gym staff says that once he used all the gym machines in one day and it only took him 15 minutes to do every single machine at the gym. And right after he pump them irons he goes on to do his 15k mile run that he can finish in only in 30 minutes. It rumored that Net ince clocked in at a 4.1 40 yard dash so of course it's no suprise that he can do this task easily as the chad he is all Net does is workout and relaxe in his 100 million dollar pool and his private bar that is at his house. That's just another day to day life of Net the superstar receiver from Austin. His moto is work hard and relaxe even harder and of course he balances his on field football activities with his outside of the field activities. Just a peanut, nothing more nothing less.
First off, Football IS everything, anyone who says anything different isn't a winner and by definition is a waste of PickSix's time. PickSix been training hard, hitting the gym and the endurance machines day after day since there's nothing else to do but the train during these dark times. The cats are on a roll and a huge reason for that is because PickSix doesn't take a day off. During the season, there is only football, that's how champions are made.
While others are goofing around, doing other things to keep their minds fresh, PickSix is pushing himself to excellence. This is the only way he knows, to secure the bag and improve on his personal stats so that he will always be remembered as one of the greatest Cornerbacks to ever grace the NSFL field.
Don't ask about any other activities for PickSix, because there are none, there is only the pureness of the gridiron and the clanking of weights. While PickSix is a born champion, he also knows that the league is tough and if he wants to be a certified immortal these are the necessary steps he must take to ensure his continued success and to ensure his immortality when he finally steps away from the game.
For most of Clark’s life, football has been central. Sure, he wrestled in middle and high school to moderate success. But in the end, he took after his father in the pursuit of a professional football career. This passion and lifestyle brings a hard grind, but it is matched with equal relaxation when possible.
Clark tends to sleep in on off days, always taking the time to relax and recuperate. It’s how he avoided injuries in college, and has been lucky so far in his DSFL career. Outside of that, hobbies will absorb most of his days off. Clark has been into gaming since his parents bought him a PS5 when they first launched. He still has it to this day. On top of this, Clark is an avid reader, usually finding himself lost in a financial analyst’s newest release or a new mystery novel. If not in bed reading, Clark can be found at the local movie theater watching whatever’s new.
Since living in Myrtle Beach, Clark has been spending a lot of time on the beach, something he used to do all the time back home in New Jersey. The surf scene might not be that big around here, but that didn’t matter much to Clark. He never could get the hang of it anyway.
