First off I would like to congratulate all of the prospect who were drafted!

Second off I want to congratulate all of the Outlaw draftees
, I trust that all of you in the NSFL know, we are going back to win another Ultimus. This makes it an amazing privilege to be on the Outlaws, and an unfortunate occurrence to have not made yourself available to us via S2 Draft.

Now, I know the draft is awesome and must have gotten you extremely excited to be part of this great league. Yet, as a Rookie Mentor and as your senior, I would like to remind you that this league does not just end with the draft. Oh yes, here is where the hard part, and the fun begins. You got to get better every day. Greatness does not come by doing only activity checks, or just doing weekend TPE once in a while. It comes when you get all the TPE and you can put it in the right spots so you can dominate!
I am saying this to all of you, but also especially to all of you later round picks. Getting slept on only happens for as long as you allow it. I too, come from a humble beginning. If you would have asked anyone on June 1st who Harrif Ernston was they wouldn't have the slightest clue. They may ask you, "What position does he play?" Or they may say "Why should I care, he is probably some no name inactive.". You could have even been directed to this.

Right now, that's really what a lot of you are. No names who have just been drafted by a team which has a bit of faith in your abilities to help them out. Different teams have different plans for their players. Depending on these plans
a team
can only go so far. This league is exciting, the season comes with ups
(The Yeti's giant undefeated streak) and downs
(The SaberCats resilience against multiple loses). I can't promise that all of you will experience more good
than bad
in this league, nor can I say if all of you will make it through the season. All I can say to you rookies is keep your heads high.
There are time in the season when you'll ask, "Dang, am I distributing my TPE correctly?" or maybe "Wow, Player 27 is just so much better than me." or even "Why can't I flipping make it on the STAT SHEET?!". These things are going to be annoyances but you need to stick it out.
Ok. Well, what the hell else to talk about here? Oh, I got it!
Continuing off my last point, this sim isn't fair. The occurrences aren't always fair, the stat sheet is always going to be nice to you, and game outcomes are not always going to go the way you want. Just remember, we are a community here in the NSFL. We help each other, and I'm sure myself, any of the other Rookie Mentors or hell anyone else would love to receive a PM from you asking for advice or our opinion. Seriously, I love getting PMs.
Lastly, you may have a great season! You may put together an amazing season!

Oh yeah, I just used that image again.
Anyways, you could have a stellar season filled with great moments and personal triumphs. You could even win the Ultimus if you are on the Outlaws! Still, nothing is guaranteed if you can't concretely prove to your peers that you deserve the recognition. You need to concretely make sure that you are the unanimous best player. This is even a message that S1 players can take in:
Beside how my name was spelled I'm not really to mad about this. Adamle Tomlinson
won this award and deserved to win it. He had 5 sacks in one game, that isn't easy. If Rashad could have returned an interception for a TD, or maybe if I had collected an extra sack or caught an interception then the choice would have been different. The morale of the story is that you can't stop, you can't downplay the importance of a single speck of TPE. That TPE could be what wins you an award or wins you the Ultimus Cup.
Once again, congratulations the most recent draft class! I can't wait to see how you all grow in the coming season. That's going to be very fun for me to watch and I'll also very much enjoy reflecting on how far you have come from this point. The only question left to ask is, will you?
