I'm happy to be joined by my teammate and linebacker partner, Nathan Claflin, who was recently selected by the Philadelphia Liberty in the ISFL draft. Nathan, I really appreciate you taking the time to join me today!
Sconnie: Let's get some initial thoughts on the scouting and draft process for you. I know you recently released some media talking about the day itself. How did scouting go? Did you have a certain team or teams you thought you would go to? Did you have an idea of where you would be selected in the draft?
Nathan: Scouting was fine, only half the teams in the league even talked to me, oddly enough Philadelphia wasn't one of them, I didn't really care what team I went to as long as it wasn't Chicago, I knew I was going to be a late pick in the draft just judging by my relative lack of TPE.
Sconnie: I applaud that flexibility; you are definitely a team player! Tell us a bit about your entrance into the Philly locker room. How was your reception? Any particular players you've hit it off with already?
Nathan: Philly's locker room was accepting of me considering until right before the draft I had said I didn't want to be in Philly, the exception was my previous discord name Hawksnate1 due to the small resemblance of a rivalry between the liberty and the hawks, that's the reason behind the discord change, but I knew couple of guys already from my days in Norfolk including the INT king himself Ryan Negs and a few others.
Sconnie: Negs certainly is the undisputed INT King! Have you had a talk with your new GMs at all about when they might be looking to call you up to the ISFL and what their long-term plan for you is?
Nathan: Their long term plan is to keep me in the DSFL for a while as picking me was more about me being the best guy left and appeasing Negs more than a positional need.
Sconnie: I think you were a great value at that pick, and that Philly made a great decision to bring you in! I know you are someone who loves to dig into the stats and analysis. Do you have any predictions for Philly and Norfolk this coming season?
Nathan: Philly I got no real clue as I'm kinda new there, but if the GMs obey what the said and the Seawolves core can stay together then there is nothing stopping is from getting an Ultimini.
Sconnie: Awesome attitude! Is there anything else you'd like to share with our readers today?
Nathan: Not that I can think of other than, I convinced philly to add jeopardy bot, and that's great.
Sconnie: I know you are a Jeopardy LEGEND in the Norfolk server, so I'm glad they made that accommodation for you! What are your total earnings up to now?
Nathan: I'm up to $342,300 between the two
Sconnie: Wow, that's an impressive total! Thanks so much for your time today, and best of luck in the upcoming season!
