The biggest moment of my entire career has to easily be when we managed to Stun the #2 ranked Ohio State Chestnuts and the #1 ranked Alabama Red Tide to Michigan State's first ever National championship. We had managed a dominating 11-0 season before Ohio State had defeated us in the last game of the year to claim the B1G 10 crown, and were ranked #5 on the day of the B1G 10 championship. Luckily for us, both Stanford and Florida State were upset by their opponents in their championship games, and we managed to make it to the #3 rank in the nation, setting us up for a revenge match vs Ohio State.
We were underdogs to tOSU, but managed to beat then 38-27 thanks to 2 timely interceptions and 344 yards through the air, 152 of which were me. Then, we had to face off against the heavily favored Alabama, who's defense had not given up more than 2 TDs all season. The Red Tide defense was talking trash about how we were gonna get shutdown. But once the game started, our passing attack dominated. Our TE hauled in 2 TDs by himself, and I ended up with 188 yards and 1 TD on 14 receptions, as we blew them out 56-27, and I was able to help my team bring back the first ever NCG in Michigan State history. ![]()

Marc Spector's career has been relatively short. And as a young Cornerback, he's not usually in the position to be a game saver or that impact player that changes the entire dynamic of the game. Usually that honor goes to Dominic Verns getting that big interception or Adamle Tomlinson with a pivotal sack.
The first major moment of Marc's career was when he was drafted. That is the moment he'll always cherish. The Otters giving him the opportunity to flourish and start right away meant a lot to him. One moment on field that Marc will always remember though, was his first interception in the NSFL. It was week 7 last season. The Otters were at home against the Arizona Outlaws. This was their first matchup of the season versus the defending Ultimus champions and Marc knew he needed to come up big. First play of the game, he lined up against Mayran Jackson, and dropped back into coverage. He followed Jackson as best he could by the veteran had a bit of a speed advantage. Bronko targeted Mayran knowing he was going up against a rookie, but the pass was a little underthrown, allowing Marc to catch up the slight difference. The pass became a jump ball and Mayran tipped it up into the air. After the two collided jumping for the ball, it came down within Spector's grasp and with catlike reflexes he snagged it before it could fall to the ground. He looked to the referee while raising the ball up in his hands. The referee pointed towards the Otters giving them possession of the ball. Marc ran to the sidelines and tossed the ball to the ball boy telling him to hold onto it for him. Marc still has that ball in a glass case at his home. Finally, the third memory of Marc's career thus far that he's proud of was the interception he caught in the playoffs. It was his first playoff game, and again it was against the Otter's rivals, the Outlaws. This time Marc was covering Dustin Evans and Bronko passed the ball his way. The ball was slightly tipped at the line of scrimmage by Ricardo Sandoval causing the trajectory to turn more towards Spector than Evans. Marc focused in and caught the ball, and just as he began running the ball back, Evans tackled him to the ground. Marc tried to save that ball, but it was lost somewhere in the locker room, most likely by an Outlaws janitorial member. Those dudes are shady as fuck. (427 words) [div align=center]

Three moments that stand out in my career. The first came on draft day. I had been hopeful to be a first round pick for a while but many pundits predicted I would fall until the second round or even worse. On draft day itself, I still had hopes of being picked by three different teams that had showed the most interest in me. The Sabercats ended up picking a kicker above me, something I think they will end up regretting. It made me sad, because I would have loved to play with my friend Benson Bayley who was picked fourth. The Outlaws were ready to take me at 8th overall, but the Otters decided for me at sixth overall and I was so happy to have been a first round pick. I was elated and could not believe it.
The second moment came when the season started. Taking the field for the first time, that atmosphere is hard to describe. Such an amazing feeling to be on the field and hear the crowd. It was a pre-season game in Arizona where we lost, but that feeling was still amazing. The third moment came in Week 1 of the regular season. Finally a game that counted. Against the Liberty at home, the team of my sister. And we crushed them. A 55-10 win, completely destroying them. I had four tackles and a sack and was happy with my first game and win! ![]()
For now, most of my highlights came in high-school and college. I once had a game in high-school where I had twelve catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Most importantly though, I was also a great blocker and managed to help out our running game. I had seven pancakes and allowed no sacks that game, and our running-back ran wild all over the defense, getting us an easy win.
In college my highlight came in one game where I had a decent day already with seven catches and 89 yards, but then towards the end of the game, we dialled up a trick play to win the game. I got the hand-off in a reverse and then did a jump-pass over the offensive line to a wide-open receiver. We won the game with a few seconds left. It was an incredible play, similar to a play where a running-back had a pass to a wide open Travis Kelce. In the DSFL I have not been as successful yet, but my blocking has been good enough. Hopefully I will have a more specific highlight there soon, but my first catch will always stand out to me for sure. I hope that over time I can improve more and become a bigger threat. ![]()
The top 3 moments of my career would have to be:
Getting drafted in the 3rd round by the Arizona Outlaws. It is a bit ironic that this was the only draft I didn’t actually watch live. I was a no-name when I declared for the S1 draft but I put in work leading up to it to try to build up my draft stock and make a name for myself. I don’t think I was too successful; leading up to the draft a single team contacted me. The Yellowknife Wraiths, questioning my answers to their interested prospects thread, so I didn’t think I was going there. The Outlaws were a shock but they seemed pretty confident going into the season despite the rest of the league shitting on us. Winning my first Ultimus trophy in season 1. We went through the entire season as underdogs and were projected almost universally to be the worst team in the league, we know how that ended and I don’t think another victory will be as sweet. Leading the league in sacks at the end of S1. Coming into the league I had two goals, be the best pass rusher in the league and win a championship. I was pleasantly surprised to achieve them both in my first go. The season 1 sack battle came down to the wire but I was able to snatch the crown. [div align=\"center\"]

My flash back is going to be first when I got on the outlaws then the picked me from the free agent rookies. I went on the team and I got to be a tackle for the team and even when I did a bad job they say just keep doing your best and your gonna be good and so I did that and still let most sacks in the whole league but they said I was good.
Then in this year when I was doing bad and things and on the outlaws I got to be on the team to win the trophy and got a team signiture like I was part of the team and with the guy and it was good but sad because I had to be on new team after draft. Then my friend dwyer told me he was going to try to trade to draft me for his team and he was the owner of the team so I was very happy. Then the last best thing is when the outlaws and dwyer did what he said and the picked me in the draft and made a trade so I was the number 3 and the best lineman after that so I got to play with my friends and stay on the one team thats my favorite team
It’s really hard for me to pick the top three memorable moments from my playing career!
Getting drafted was one of the most memorable moments of my career. Not only did I not expect to get drafted, but I was picked 33rd overall! I played D1 football at University of Oregon, but didn’t get that much attention since I didn’t put up impressive numbers like my fellow defensive teammates. The Liberty took a chance on me and needed someone to help become a defensive rusher and I’m thankful for their decision to pick me. The second memorable moment of my career is my first game as a member of the Philadelphia Liberty. It was a surreal moment to step on the field and I can’t believe how nervous I was even though it was a preseason game against the Wraiths! I just remember how anxious I was to get on the field and how cold Yellowknife was even in September! I didn’t put up any stats, but I learned a lot from that game. The third memorable moment of my career has to be the last game we played at home. We happened to play the Wraiths in this game and it was our first win. I was still fitting into the new defensive scheme as a tackle, but I was able to make a decent impact on the game with 2 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble recovery. Quote:240 words
Erlich Burnsman can barely count to three but in week one of season three, he did just that, knocking in three short touchdowns in a victory over whatever team it was the Otters ran through that week.
These three touchdowns were the most memorable 3 moments of his young career, mostly because it happened just about a week ago.. things start to go fuzzy after that. Lets examine these moments further, because word count. The following is Audio transcribed from Erlich Burnsman's latest video audiobook titled "Erlich Burnsman's Audiobook For Your TV 3: A Closer Look At My First 3 Touchdowns Of Season 3" "...and after watching Leroy run 2 in already, I knew I had to be ready if my number were called. He's too good, if i don't perform early, i may live on this bench! Seven minutes later, with five-thirty-six left on the clock, I punched my first one in; from 1 yard deep. I remember thinking, 'okay, you're in. you did it.', i was relieved. But my night had only just began. I think we forced a three and out right after that touchdown, maybe they got a first down and then went out, i dont remember, but what I do remember is breaking an 11 yard run to set up a nice Westfield TD. 25 yards. Westy got another one too not long later. Then the Liberty got on the board. We were driving and Boss made a few nice passes, one to Phelps that must've been 30 yards. I was sitting there thinking my night was over and next thing you know im in the endzone again after a 3 yards rush, a little option to the right side, something we never ran in practice..." (6 minutes later) "...knowing ive scored in the past 2 quarters. Sure enough, another 1 yard touchdown and I was in for my third. I never got one in the 4th but my three that day were enough for a record. A record that still stands strong today.. many days later... like, 10"
COX BEATS SELF OFF THE LINE AS TENNESSEE WINS 14-10
Defensive lineman Jimmy Cox played a great game on Saturday, helping Tennessee beat Vanderbilt 14-10 with 2 sacks and 10 tackles, including 2 tackles for loss. Despite playing against All-American Tackle Gilbert Self, Jimmy Cox had no problems dictating the game and stopping any offense Vanderbilt attempted to put forward in a win that brings the Tennessee record to 2-0 to start the season. BOTH COX PENETRATE HOLES EFFICIENTLY IN A KEY VICTORY Jimmy and Vinny Cox from the Cox family of respected footballers played an incredible game yesterday, as the freshman and junior combined for 5 sacks, 16 tackles, and 3 tackles for loss as Tennessee stomped Ole Miss 20-3 en route to a 7-3 record. This also brings Tennessee to the #15 seed, which means they could still possibly reach an important bowl game this season. The Cox brothers have shown that they have the potential to be 2 of the best defensive linemen in not only college history but possibly in the pros as well. ORANGE COUNTY SHOWS COX IN THEIR REGULAR SEASON DEBUT Among other rookies, Jimmy Cox was seen for the first time in an Otters jersey on Sunday as the Otters took the Liberty down 55-10. While Cox was probably the worst defensive player on the field, head coach Angus Winchester believes he will improve a lot and his potential is very high. |
