Hello all, I'm here again just before the start of the NFSL Draft to answer any of your questions.
Ask away!
Quote:How do you feel about your season with Norfolk?
It was a great experience being part of an expansion team. At the beginning I was little bit nervous of how we would perform because the entire team was full of rookies, but everyone in the locker room was ready for the challenge. And it payed off the first 4 weeks where we had a winning streak. After that things got a little rough with some loses in a row, but everyone just kept focusing on getting better during the weekly training, which in the end helped us secure a playoff spot. I don't know if I'm going to come back for another season, so if that's the case, I'm going to miss my teammates very much; specially my fellow d-backs Uchiha, Kroustis, Rambo and Chase. I learned so much from them and it will be hard when they are not by my side on the field.
Quote:What was your favorite play of DSFL S14?
There were so many exciting plays man! And I only get to choose 1? That's tough. Anyway my favorite play was Emoji’s last minute interception in the Marshals vs Pythons game from week 8. I mean what a play! Just 1:49 remaining for the end of the game and the Marshals have the ball in Portland’s 6 yard with a great opportunity to score a TD and take the lead; here comes Emoji taking away the ball thrown to Marshall and returns it 21 yards; then it was just a matter of running out the clock. This was definitely one of my favorite moments in the season.
Quote:Which team do you want to be drafted by?
I know that this is kind of a standard question for every prospect before the draft, so I have developed my standard answer for it: not a particular preference: But in all seriousness, I haven't put much thought into a favorite team, I'll be happy to contribute my best wherever I go; although it would be a very good thing if an expansion team drafts me (that would be 2 in row, wow) because that means I'm staying at Norfolk for another season and I would to have another chance to make it into the Ultimini.
Quote:CB is a tough position to play, you don't get much of the spotlight, would you consider to change into another position?
Interesting question; I just don't see myself playing any other position except a defensive back. I love the challenge of covering wide receivers and reading what the quarterback has in mind. I used to play WR before college but I didn't enjoy it very much so I switched into corner and stayed there for most of my college career; I felt like I finally found my place. It would mean a lot to me finishing my professional career as a cornerback, but that doesn't mean I'm not open to a position change; it would require that my team is in a desperate need for me to say yes i'll move to a new position.
