So, we covered the NSFC, we covered the ASFC, and it appears Adam and I unintentionally collaborated a bit with our big projects in the offseason. However, there are 8 whole teams that are in neither conference, and it's time to dive into those. Featuring a load of season 28 talent, almost no reason to think long term, and a whole lot of recreate QBs that appeared last draft, it's time to dive into the DSFL.
Anyone who hasn't visited the forum in the last ~10 days will be deemed on the edge of activity, as the DSFL has rules about putting inactive players higher on the depth chart than active players, and anyone who hasn't been on since the start of the year (or since they created their player in regards to the new creates) I will put as inactive, although they could still be eligible for the upcoming season.
Bondi Beach Buccaneers
QB: Dexter Zaylren (160 TPE)
RB1: Akili Ozymandias (250 TPE) (teetering on the edge of IA)
RB2: Big Chungus (193 TPE) (Active, not updating)
RB3: Brandon Prince (83 TPE)

Rule one of talking about the DSFL is that anyone whose not inactive can shoot up in a hurry, especially those two people with 50 TPE who I believe both have over 50 if they ever make an update page. The BBBucs won the Ultimini last season, but got torn up by call ups after the fact. Possible issues with this depth chart come from either their capped RB or their capped WR going completely inactive and thus needing to play their lesser TPE players over them. Besides that, the real problem this roster has is that there's really only one player worth anything in the front 7. Bradman isn't inactive yet, but he doesn't have a ton of TPE and hasn't been on since the 20th, Hayes hasn't been on since he created his player, pretty much, and they don't have anyone else on the front seven besides Mongo. To balance it out, they have one of the best Cornerback duos in the league with PickSix II and Nzeocha, neither of whom are close to inactivity. One thing might be even larger though: No user OLine. Not even one with 50 TPE but max weight. Zaylren might be getting sacked a lot this season. Also, no kicker, and as anyone who's watched the DSFL knows, bot kickers suck and will tear your heart out.

The Birddogs return a maxed QB, a maxed TE, and a body on the OLine with a lot of TPE to their offense. On Defense, they have a near maxed CB and a maxed S to give them a decently strong secondary for this level. In general their defense is great minus Linebacker, where they have 3 people who barely combine to reach over 250 TPE. Their draft class really shored up one of the few holes in their team, which was Wide Receiver. Other than that, specifically at Cornerback they could have an issue against teams with 2 good WRs as there's a steep drop off after Jason Bradshaw. Honestly though? This team should be great and probably makes the playoffs for the first time since Season 23. While Wide Receiver is technically a weakness, it's not much of one if their two rostered players reach max and Running Back is also pretty solid, especially if Gaare keeps earning. I really like this team's future.

KR/P: Alastor Hazbin (104 TPE)
London sent up its long time DSFL Quarterback and immediately hits the ground running trying to return to the playoffs. If everyone earns well they might be able to make it, too. This team has 2 capped Linebackers, 2 capped DTs, 2 capped WRs, a capped Safety, a good Kicker...there's a lot of places where this team is the best in the league or at least among the best. 2 major problems arise, though. For one, the new sim better not punish you too harshly for having a bellcow with 250 TPE, because there's a steep dropoff between Manhattan Project (who still has to earn to get that high) and the inactive Gerald. For two, this defense is probably running 5 members in the secondary? At least that's how the roster appears to be constructed, and of those 5 members only 1 of them is over 150 TPE. That one is capped, but he's going to be alone for a few weeks above 250 TPE unless LeClerc comes back. Maybe even the entire season unless one of them speeds up on the earning. If they don't run 5 in the secondary, then the inactive LeClerc is the odd man out and he's the 2nd highest TPE member, and it also leads to them running a bot at Linebacker. Needless to say, something tells me they're stuck at 5 Secondary, although they'll still probably be more weak to the pass than the run with how monstrous the players they have are. If LeClerc doesn't count as inactive yet, then at least a lower tier member is kicked out of the secondary but I don't think they'd do it either way due to only having 2 LBs.
Kansas City Coyotes
QB: Troy Abed (101 TPE)
RB1: Xander Creed (250 TPE)

Kansas City has a couple high points: A great running back room (when Infinite's in charge of your RB2, you're doing well), a decent Oline, a very good Wide Receiver room, and an actual kicker. That's about all for the positives though. Professor Godfrey Gravity is one of the best players on the defensive line from Season 28, but he's only one man unless he discovered cloning technology (and I believe such sorts of things result in a ban or suspension). The QB seems to be one of the slower earners of the S28 class (2 of the 4 teams I've yet to go over have a maxed QB from previous seasons). Really, though, there's not all that much to complain about on offense, but no position group is in good shape on defense. I often say that about teams who have deficiencies in the Secondary as a whole, the Linebacker position, or the DLine as a whole, but this goes a step beyond. There are 3 players in the entire defense who are worthwhile right now and they are all in different positions, and even all in different levels of the Defense. Still, even with maybe the worst defense, they could have a good offense. Maybe if one of their other rookies position switched...how about you, Infinite? Kidding, kidding.

I don't want to say too much about this team as I am in its war room, was in it during the draft, and going too hog wild on the praise is going to feel like tooting my own horn a bit too much. So instead I'm going to talk about how this team is about to be ruined by call ups before talking about the team. Next season, Torres and McBobby are forced out of the DSFL due to being season 25 players. Morrison likely goes up, and both of our safeties might go up too. Also keeping some of these guys from going inactive is going to be hard. Alright. Now that that's out of the way, the weakest position group on the team is the defensive line and it's still better than 2 of the 4 teams that I looked over before this. Almost everyone behind the defensive line will be capped. We have a capped WR, an almost capped RB, a great TE, and pretty good backups behind each of them. Hell, we somehow have a full Oline. This is probably one of the strongest teams the DSFL has ever seen, and I wouldn't be surprised if its Defense was literally the best. Hell, we even have the 2nd best kicker to top everything off.

KR/P2: Thelonius Junk (103 TPE)
This might be the best Wide Receiver group in the league, with one capped and 2 players within less than 150 points combined from capping. The Safeties are very strong. Having 2 capped players (or basically capped) on the DLine is probably all that you need. So what holds this team back? Tight Ends are one thing, with one guy who might be active but definitely goes into this week's game with 50 TPE. OLine is also a problem, because even though they have 2 user Oline, they've gained a total of 9 TPE since creation. Lastly, only one Linebacker hurts, even if they're good, and having less than 150 TPE between two safeties DEFINITELY hurts. As does one being inactive and likely being an easy target to pick on for the entire season. Also, picking the guy who's probably going to bust the hardest in this last DSFL draft and having him as your only RB on the roster doesn't seem like a good thing. Though to be frank, Norfolk had no idea he would create a new copypasta for the league 3 days after he was drafted, before the draft even went public.

S3: Tony Bull (50 TPE) (IA, and has been IA since August so I think he's ineligible for the season)
KR/P: Gluteus Maximus (250 TPE)
Honestly, maybe it's because I saw Captain John Price as one of the last names on the roster, but the only thing that comes to mind is a line from COD 4. "50,000 people used to live here. Now it's a ghost town." GEEZ how many inactive players are on this roster anyways? Some of these inactives aren't too much of an issue, with a capped RB having two inactives lower on the depth chart doesn't matter as much. IA moving Lebby Newton to the bottom of the WR depth chart could hurt, although Washington was going to pass Newton soon anyways. Nah, all the real pain comes from the defensive side of the ball. Minnesota has a capped kicker and QB, and they also have a capped CB. But the next 2 people behind him are not only IA, but have been so for months and before I believe the Inactive date, unless that rule was changed. Either way, what they're definitely going to have to deal with is the fact that their defensive line is only middling, and their linebackers all have under 100 TPE with 2 stuck at 50 right now. I wouldn't be surprised if this team did end up making the playoffs on the back of their capped QB though.

The Luchadores have gone from by far the bottom of their division to a top contender for the Ultimini. They have the best RB room in the league, a very good Oline, and a secondary that is only not the best because the Pythons break that category. Even their problems have mitigations. Linebacker is going to end up with 3 players that are at least 100 by the last week, even if it would be better for them if Boo Tee came back from inactivity. Their Wide Receivers aren't great, but they're at least good. The only problems that I see without any mitigation whatsoever are DE having a GM Bot and a low earner next to two bots, no active TE, and no kicker. Add the 57 TPE TE to the less than fantastic WR crop on this team and the rookie QB and it makes me think this team is going to start the first few weeks of the season being very run heavy. If a team needed to rely on the running game, though, this is as good a team as any to do it in the DSFL.
The DSFL is hectic, doesn't really care about futures, and can change over the course of the season very rapidly, especially if people earn. To all the new players, even if your team doesn't look good right now, you can MAKE it look good. And to all the old players, well, it's good to see you guys keep at it. Now go for that Ultimini, everyone! I hope you all have a fun time, and I'll catch you all at preseason tonight! You know, assuming that it actually happens this time.

QB: Raeni Clarke (157 TPE)

CB1: Amy Wong (87 TPE)
CB2: Kris Krieg (50 TPE) (IA)
S1: Kelvin Harris (129 TPE)
S2: Sparky Sparky Boom Man (250 TPE) (Not sure why he's S2, I don't think he's IA? If he is that makes sense but he'll still be playing anyways)
KR/P1: Rotor Wash (81 TPE)

WR4: Dick Grayson (91 TPE) (IA)
TE1: Bobby Tarantino (133 TPE)
TE2: Bender Rodriguez (88 TPE)
OL1: Anton Bruckner (105 TPE)
DT1: Daniel O'Leary (81 TPE)
DE1: Mills Wallace (131 TPE)
DE2: Andrew Warthol (125 TPE)
LB1: Brooks Bane (85 TPE)
LB2: DeAndre Chuggs (50 TPE)
LB3: LiamCoolguy Gabjonson (50 TPE) (IA)
CB1: James Gath (250 TPE)
CB2: Curtis Blackshear (77 TPE) (IA, and has been IA since August so I think he's ineligible for the season)
CB3: Bruce Brucie (57 TPE) (IA, and has been IA since early October so I think he's ineligible for the season)
CB4: Lion Nikita (50 TPE)
S1: "Captain" John Price (201 TPE)
S2: Tim Soulja (98 TPE)
