Week 1:
THE FLIP SIDE
Mrs. “Stacks” McHits Weekly Update
Who is Mrs. "Stacks" McHits?
-Mrs. "Stacks" McHits
Welcome! Let me introduce myself. I am the fabled Mrs. "Stacks" McHits, wife of the legendary Mr. Sconnie McHits. I am a new create entering the upcoming DSFL draft for season 32. Sconnie joined last season, and his infectious excitement for the league has encouraged me to join and be part of "the hype", as he would refer to it.
Of course I was interested in joining for the enjoyment, socialization, and escape from the world around me. However, when Sconnie asked, "What do I need to do to get you to join?", I recognized and seized the opportunity to force what I will be referring to as the "Brunch Bet."
Brunch is my favorite meal of the day. When I learned that pancakes were a stat to be made on the field, I immediately began to formulate a plan for obtaining Sconnie-made meals.
For those of you wondering, and for all of you to help me hold him accountable, the bet is as follows:
Sconnie will make Mrs. "Stacks" McHits 1 pancake for every in season pancake she makes on the field. If Mrs. "Stacks" McHits can get 41 pancakes in the season, Sconnie will take her out to brunch. If Mrs. "Stacks" McHits gets 99 pancakes or more for the season, then Mr. McHits will be driving home from brunch, and take care of the children for the rest of the day.
I plan to create an AMA sometime soon, but feel free to reach out any time for questions, comments, and thoughts you may have about me. Looking forward to this season, and getting to know all of you.

Recipe of the Week:
THE EASY CLASSIC
Each week I plan to share a McHits family recipe with you, so that you too may enjoy what we will be trying in our home. I am hoping to create a space in this league for brunch lovers, sharing our love of food and camaraderie with "all the football things."
This week will be the easiest recipe. You can certainly make your own hotcakes from scratch if you're into personal torture. In the McHits home, we use Krusteaz Pancake mix. It's delicious, kid-friendly, and gets the cakes on the griddle the fastest.
You'll need the following ingredients:
1 cup of Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix
2/3 cup of water
Any toppings you desire
Lots of Syrup
Directions:
HEAT pancake griddle to 375°F (medium heat). Lightly grease griddle.
MEASURE mix by lightly spooning it into measuring cup and leveling it off. WHISK pancake mix and water. Do not over-mix. Let batter stand 2 minutes. POUR slightly less than 1/4 cup batter per pancake onto griddle.
COOK 1-1 1/2 minutes per side. For light and fluffy pancakes, FLIP only once, when tops bubble and bottoms are golden brown.
"I'm only making pancakes for your regular season stats." -Sconnie McHits
