Calling it an invisible TPE boost is easier to communicate. Having two different OL templates would function in the same way but may cause confusion down the line. The only differences is that changing the user template has less flexibility both in build choice (everyone gets, say, +50 TPE in pass blocking, run blocking, strength, and agility rather than splitting it how they want) and forces all the TPE difference immediately. If we wanted a more gradual increase it wouldn't work unless we combine the two (ex: +100 TPE in starting attributes and +100 TPE upon being called up/reaching some milestone).

Right, so that's the thing, are we saying that if the split was 100/100, would an OL get maxed out after earning only 150 tpe? Or would the boost transcend the cap. I think if this passes the DSFL GMs would have to come together and discuss how much of the split they would want for OL users, NSFL GMs wouldn't care as long as they got the full 200 once they hit the NSFL

Just gotta say. OL was a miserable position to play. I don't wanna encourage people to play it. It's a boring position, and we're more likely to lose users who pick it.

For new users yes, but vets would know what they're getting themselves into. And we still aren't encouraging players to be OL, just giving them a viable option if they understand the way our Sim works and still want to be an OL

Honestly, if this is something that happens, I think they should just get a 200tpe boost upon entering the NSFL since all DSFL OL bots are at the tier 0 level (50 tpe). So, just one activity check would theoretically make them the best OL on the team.

Yeah I don't think DSFL OL should get any kind of boost. They will naturally be better than DSFL OL bots with a few updates.

Yeah actually I agree, someone coming into the league right now does their AC + Free training + training camp and puts them at 67 tpe, doing this would set them at 167 tpe and they could go inactive 30 minutes after creating, which seems to happen with like 30% of all dsfl players

I don't at all disagree, but I do think that with this proposal, it would be different, in that actual users would actually outperform the "average." I would be interested in trying OL with this system.

Even if they "outperform the average" it's a boring position. You don't get to see your dot do anything mildly interesting, and you only have 2 statistics to base your performance off of, one of which is negative. It's the same reason we can't find anyone to play CB, something you're very familiar with.
