BREAKING NEWS ALERT!
Hi we are waiting here in Austin, Texas for a surprise press conference that was just announced with star DSFL Tight End, Chase Jensen, about his future with the Copperheads organization. There he is, Jensen has just taken the podium to start his announcement. Let’s tune in and see what the incoming NSFL rookie has to say.
"Hey there everyone. I’m going to try to keep my comments here brief today. We’re all busy and have things that we should be doing so I won’t keep you for too long. First of all, I just want to say thank you again to the Copperheads organization for drafting me last season. I can’t wait to be a part of the inaugural roster that will be taking the field here in Austin. I know that a lot of people don’t expect a whole lot from us considering it will be our first year in the league, but hopefully we can go out there and give a few teams some surprises. Secondly, I want to give a shout out to all of the boys back in Palm Beach. It was nice to go out on a high note as we were able to win the Ultimini Championship. Hopefully, we will be able to win a whole bunch of trophies here in the big leagues for our team, our organization, and most importantly our fans.
That brings me to my third point; the point in which this press conference was called for. I have a very good relationship with the management team of the Austin Copperheads. I’m in constant contact with them, often discussing how I can do my part in making the Copperheads a better team. During the draft process I told them that I would do anything for the team that would put us in a better position to win games. In fact, during the drafting process I basically told every GM that contacted me the same exact thing. I’ve always been about the team and I am showing you that right here, right now. So, after winning Tight End of the Year two consecutive seasons in the DSFL, I will be taking my talents to the other side of the line of scrimmage and will be continuing my career as a Safety for the Copperheads. I know that this will take some training in areas that I’m not quite accustomed to, but I welcome the challenge. Thank you, there will be no questions at this time."
So, there’s the big announcement! It looks like the Copperheads have found what they hope to be a star defensive back in their current star tight end. This certainly will help a defensive secondary that a lot of talking heads and analysts have deemed lacking up to this point.
