*I'm Coming Home

3 years ago, I chose to opt out of my contract and leave the Philadelphia Liberty to join the Baltimore Hawks. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make in my life, and it took a lot of thought. It turned out that it’d be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I met countless new friends, mentors, and fantastic coaches at Baltimore. Playing alongside guys like Childish Gambino, Vinny Valentine, Austin Roenick, Arbin Asipi III, and countless other incredible players is an experience I’ll never forget. And most importantly, hoisting the Ultimus trophy up for the first time and finally accomplishing a childhood dream of mine, winning the Ultimus. However, after that Ultimus win, I felt empty, like I had something else to accomplish.

When I was drafted to Philly in the first round of season 9, I didn’t know what to expect. Being from the small town of Pahokee, Florida, I didn’t travel much, so I didn’t really know what Philly was like. But during my first training camp, I quickly realized how amazing this city is. I told myself that one day I’d win a trophy for this city. And while I lost sight of that goal a couple of years ago, I recently realized that I have some unfinished business in Philly.

Which is why I will be signing with the Philadelphia Liberty.

I did a lot of things wrong in my first FA trial, but I wanted to make things right this time around. Some great teams came to me with godfather offers, leaving me to have to seriously think about this decision. But I truly believe that I am making the right choice in coming home to Philly.

To my former teammates, coaches, and executives in Baltimore, I can’t thank you all enough for the fun I had playing in Hawks colors. I learned a lot of things playing in Baltimore and I’ve had the experience of a lifetime. I’ve grown into both a better player and a better person while being a Hawk.

To the Philadelphia Liberty organization, my new and old teammates, and most importantly the city of Philly; I’m home.
