Joseph Wozniak Disputes Recent Reports of Feud with Teammate Wayne Howyanow
Last week reports surfaced of infighting between the Luchadores' newest safeties, Joseph Wozniak and Wayne Howyanow. An anonymous source submitted a recording of Wayne speaking about Wozniak, recorded below:
When the Post reached out to Wayne about his comments he refused to comment. Wozniak however disagreed with the initial reports of bad blood, claiming that Wayne’s comments were part of a team bonding exercise where draft mates were asked to “roast” each other. Wozniak claims that the comments were in good faith, and part of a developing friendship between the new teammates. Wozniak was quoted as follows, “It is just a joke taken out of context, we really have a great friendship.”
However, that may just be Wozniak trying to save face, as there may be reason for the bad blood between the teammates. Joseph Wozniak was the first safety drafted by The Luchadore', and more than 20 picks before Wayne was drafted. Sports radio host Roberto Gallegos had this to say on his nationally syndicated show:
When we reached out to Wozniak about Gallegos’ comments, he had this to say, “Honestly I am just surprised anyone cares enough to follow drama from the 35th pick in the DSFL draft.”

Quote:“Joseph Wozniak is a safety drafted out of Michigan. A liability in coverage and a certified beta male, Wozniak led his team in catches allowed and tackles missed. Fans wondered why he even saw the field, speculating that coach Harbaugh netted a substantial payout from Apple© to let him see the field. Tijuana must have drafted him as a PR stunt to try and gain fans in the tech sector.”

Quote:“It’s not surprising that Wayne dislikes Joseph, Wozniak was obviously the Luchadores 'priority safety prospect, and Wayne’s got a lot to prove. But instead of putting his head down and beating Wozniak on the field he is insulting him like a child. The real question is where is the Luchadores' leadership? The Luchadores are a successful team, and it’s surprising to see such a lack of leadership from them. They need to get their rookies under control. How can they expect to win their 7th championship while their defensive backs are busy trading school yard insults. Maybe their success has gotten to GM Tom Hanks head, he needs his rookies busy training, not busy goofing off.
A real disappointment.”
