CLOSED AND READY TO BE GRADED!
After briefing him on the expectations of the season, the Norfolk Seawolves are ready to unveil their new superstar and first overall pick, Bjørn Ironside. They quickly assemble a press conference and bring on all the press they can.
Bjørn steps up to the podium and gives his adoring fans a wave. "Alright, the draft is over and I'm moving on to Norfolk. I've opened my schedule, so what do you guys have for me?"
Without question. Norfolk picked me to be an anchor of this defense and a leader of this team and I'm fully capable and more than willing to fill that role. I worked hard to get where I am and I have no intentions of slowing down whatsoever. We have a goal of a championship, which every team should. I'll do everything I can to get us there, but even if we fall short Norfolk will get my 100%.
After he was named Official Bjørn Tackling Dummy, we worked out some of the kinks on the practice field. I will give him another chance to prove himself, but don't expect him to be invited to Defensive Taco Tuesdays in the near future. He's been forgiven, but not yet forgotten.
Because real men are round. Manholes are man shaped.
Portland has to be the game I look forward to the most on the season. Couple of reasons here. The first is Jay Cue. Obviously a guy like me has to be excited about the opportunity to take down the first tiny man selected in the draft. I expect for me and him to have a nice, fun time. Then there is also Trae Bacon, clearly the second best defensive tackle in this class and my resolute rival. I look forward to seeing how we square up this season and seeing how we come out on the other end come playoff time.
It's obviously Norfolk. Bjørn Ironside to anchor the front, Marlo Smart sneaking through the middle, then David Rector and JimJam FlimFlam hawking the back? This is a defense that was created to be dominant at all three levels. So lets go out there and prove it.
Why not both? All tacos are beautiful and perfect in their own special way. We don't taco shame at Defensive Taco Tuesdays. We allow all tacos to be represented fairly and devoured without judgement.
Burritos are at a very minimum equivalent to tacos. I would almost consider burritos as a variety of tacos on most occasions.
I've always enjoyed wands and you pegged that pretty well. That said, I think I'd have to lean Norfolk a bit more towards Swords than anything.
Palm Beach seems to have put together one heck of a line in this draft and I look forward to the challenge of getting around them. It should provide some more interesting story lines in the season.
This may be the best question in the history of questions. I am a majestic pterodactyl cause dammit, I can fly. I'm always looking up, and that is where I'm heading. You love me so much because it's all love down in the trenches. And I absolutely do believe that I can sometimes stun opposing Oline players into submission. I always help them back up though. I'm benevolent like that.
