*NFL Week 12 and a NSFL Comparison

Another week is in the book in the NFL, and the playoff picture is starting to become more focused. In the AFC the Patriots and Ravens are top contenders and in the NFC the Saints, 49ers, and Seahawks are the top dogs. If the Super Bowl doesn’t include these teams I’ll be shocked. Onto the extremely quick recap and comparisons.

Colts over Texans

The Texans beat the Colts in a close game coming from behind with a 4th quarter score to win by 3.

Hawks (Colts) at Outlaws (Texans) - The Outlaws beat the Hawks in season 18 in come from behind fashion scoring a Saba Donut touchdown in the fourth to take the lead. This game ended eerily similarly to the real life game. Me: 0-1, Comps: 1-0

Falcons over Bucs

The Bucs dismantled the Falcons in one of their patented we play great once a month performances.

I compared both the Bucs and Falcons to the Liberty unfortunately, so this one’s a tie for the comps. Me: 0-2, Comps: 1-0-1

Bears over Giants

The Giants kept it close, but the Bears had a big third quarter that won the game.

Butchers (Giants) at Yeti (Bears) - The Butchers won this low scoring matchup by scoring a couple field goals in the fourth to take the lead. Me: 1-2, Comps: 1-1-1

Steelers over Bengals

The Steelers won a close game against the winless Bengals that was tied heading into the 4th.

Yeti (Steelers) at SaberCats (Bengals) - The Yeti unsurprisingly won this game in dominant fashion. Me: 2-2, Comps: 2-1-1

Browns over Dolphins

The Browns took care of business against the Dolphins.

SaberCats (Dolphins) at Butchers (Browns) - The SaberCats actually won this matchup in season 18 on a late touchdown that put them up by 1 point. Me: 3-2, Comps: 2-2-1

Saints over Panthers

The Saints won a close game that really should have gone the other way. I don’t want to talk about it.

Second Line (Panthers) at Wraiths (Saints) - The Second Line kept this one close but could never quite catch up to the Wraiths. Me: 4-2, Comps: 3-2-1

Raiders over Jets

The Jets shockingly absolutely dominated the Raiders.

Copperheads (Raiders) at SaberCats (Jets) - This one came down to overtime and the SaberCats won it scoring a touchdown early into the overtime period. Me: 4-3, Comps: 4-2-1

Lions over Redskins

The Redskins shocked the Lions.

Second Line (Lions) at SaberCats (Redskins) - The Second Line shut out the SaberCats in a dominant performance from both sides of the ball. Me: 4-4, Comps: 4-3-1

Jaguars over Titans

The Titans ran all over the Jaguars and scored four touchdowns in one quarter.

Copperheads (Jags) at Butchers (Titans) - The Butchers completely dominated the Copperheads in their season 18 matchup. Me: 5-4, Comps: 5-3-1

Patriots over Cowboys

The Patriots won a close one that had some late controversy.

Outlaws (Cowboys) at Wraiths (Patriots) - The Outlaws actually beat up on the Wraiths in season 18, and it wasn’t really close as they won by 15. Me: 6-4, Comps: 5-4-1

49ers over Packers
The 49ers absolutely dominated the Packers.

I compared both of these teams to the Wraiths, so another tie for the comps. Me: 7-4, Comps: 5-4-2

Seahawks over Eagles

The Seahawks won a very close game against the Eagles.

Otters (Seahawks) at Outlaws (Eagles) - The Otters won this matchup by a touchdown in come from behind fashion as they took over the game in the second half. Me: 8-4, Comps: 6-4-2

Ravens over Rams

The Ravens absolutely dismantled the Rams.

I compared both these teams to the Hawks. Me: 9-4, Comps: 6-4-3

I didn’t have a terrible week for my picks, but a couple of the games I got wrong I was very surprised about. Now we have the glorious Thanksgiving week with three games on Thanksgiving day, so here’s my picks for the week.
