So I know the title makes it seem like I am just gonna go off putting myself first overall and everyone else doesn’t matter. But no I am going to try to give a honest mock of how I think the first round is gonna go down. As much as I pains me. First lemme just say I am a lazy Phat Boi so I didn’t look too deep into each teams needs. In the DSFL there is a high turnover rate on players with both NSFL draft and IA so I feel most teams kinda need everything. Without further ado let’s get this started.

1. Dallas Birddogs - Colby Jack - QB
I know surprisingly I didn’t put myself first and it honestly pained me to do this. Honestly the Jacks are pretty interchangeable for me so either one of them could go here. The reason I am putting him at this spot is because QB’s are the biggest need for a new team in the DSFL. Not only do they touch the ball every play but they also usually spend at least 2 if not more seasons in the DSFL. So this pick would set them up for the now and the future.
2. London Royals - Monty Jack - QB
Yes another player above Phat Boi and the reason is basically the same. He will stay with them for a few seasons. He’s already quite high on TPE. What’s not to like about him.
3. Portland Pythons - Tyler Oles Jr - CB
Would you look at that our first non quarterback off the board and it’s still not me. Now the Pythons should have their QB for this upcoming season in O’Donnel so this opens them up to pick whatever position or player they want. Oles is high on TPE and active. He also didn’t put out a podcast saying he wouldn’t play for them so what’s not to love.
4. Tijuana Luchadores - Ben Slothlisberger - QB
And we are back with the QB’s. Unlike the expansion teams Tijuana actually has a QB on their roster. It’s unfortunate that said QB is inactive so they have to pick one up here again. Ben is part of the elite tier of QBs along with the Jack bro’s and another QB in this draft so I think they are happy to be able to pick him up here.
5. Kansas City Coyotes - Phat Boi - DT
Not the 1st overall that I want but top 5 is still a great look. Not much to say about this pick. I am strong active and surprisingly fast. If it weren’t for QB needy teams and the fact that I went on record saying I would not like to play for Portland I would probably give myself a higher pick. That said I am still happy to go to the Coyotes who were in my Tier 1.
6. Norfolk Seawolves - Jim Waters - QB
Yup another QB but this pick is a little more surprising than the rest. Norfolk and Jim have a slightly bad relationship because of the heated MB, Norfolk rivalry (Jim’s old create was a Beach Boi). But I have to say he is the last of the top tier QBs so Norfolk look to squash any beef they might have had and look to him to lead them into the future. Last season they made an unfortunate pick with Cal going basically IA but this draft I think they make the correct choice.
7. Myrtle Beach Buccaneers - Daniel George - TE
This pick is probably really surprising to most. Myrtle Beach is known for its defense so it’s kinda crazy for them to pick up an offensive guy with their first pick. George has been crazy active and TE are actually really useful for low TPE QBs in the DSFL as a nice safety valve. I know they probably wish Jim fell to them here as they loved him when he was their RB but they are still more then happy to pick up a crazy active guy like George.
8. Minnesota Grey Ducks - Stanislaw Koniecpolski - LB
Another pretty surprising pick because Minnesota are mostly known for their offense unlike Myrtle Beach so a defensive pick 1st is something different. I was thinking about putting a QB here because most likely Vega is moving up but the top tier of QBs are gone and not many other teams left need a QB so they can wait to pick one up later. Now Stanislaw is one of if not the most notable recreate in this draft. You gotta go with him here because he is almost for sure to be a high earner and a very safe choice for our Ultimini champs.
So I’m gonna end it here with the first round. We had some surprising picks but if I were to actually do a mock based off of what I think should happen it would look like this.
