What does it take to get inducted as an LB? 2 Ultimuses, top 10 in all time tackles, 3 Pro Bowls, 1 Defensive Player of the Year (somehow he didn't win LB of the Year...). I'm not sure what else could be expected of an LB. Maybe more Pro Bowls?
Regardless it's very exciting to see Pennington up there at least somewhat close to having been inducted. Fingers crossed for next season!
Yeah, I am looking at you to see if Horne has a chance. Fingers crossed for both of us!
I also think HOF will become a moving target, as the league changes in competition so much over time. Getting a LBoTY or DPoTY award early in the league's history has to be much easier than it is now (or even when our guys played) due to more competition.
Horne has 1 Ultimus win (2 appearances), top 10 in all time tackles, 5 Pro Bowls, but no awards. (but I played DE for 2 season for Chad <3 which should count towards HOF as a sacrifice for friendship)

Yeah that's the thing is I don't actually know because the history is so limited and these guys that made the HoF but aren't even top 10 in tackles anymore. And considering the number of teams are increasing it's going to be even harder to win Ultimuses. Regardless I'm not sure we should even be using Ultimuses as a metric for single players because they're such a team effort to attain. Should we not consider players who spent their entire careers with one franchise out of loyalty if the franchise itself was bad during their career?
