Ladies and gentlemen, I present a list of Nicholas Ayers’s landing spots for the DSFL.
Couple things to get out of the way before I get into the nitty gritty: Shoutouts to @Tylus for giving me this idea for doing this media, and if it weren’t for him, I probably wouldn’t be doing this, so thanks so much brother.
What I’ll be looking at is scheme fit, locker room, personalities, GM’s, players, culture, etc. to be getting the answers for each team. I’ll try and do my best for each team as I’m more involved in more teams than others, so if I give some teams less information than others, my bad.
Lastly, I will be doing my best to try and give out my best guesses and info. I will be interpreting things that are pretty sketchy in other people's opinions, and doing these probably doesn’t help with the fact that I’m stupid new (both stupid and new but I digress), so please don’t give so much crap if I offend people unintentionally.
And with that,
Let's do this, shall we?
I will be going in the following order; DSFL NFC, worst record to best, then DSFL SFC, worst record to best.
LONDON ROYALS 5-9
My Experiences
I was first given a contact by the Royals GM modern_duke on Discord, where he gave me some questions about who I am, what I want to do, if I'm interested in them, and etc. I was ecstatic to be given a call by them because I love it when teams give me a call about them wanting to talk to me. So, thank you so much duke for hitting me up first. I have not been in their locker room, so frankly I have no clue on what to think about their other players.
Running Back Changes
In the NSFL draft, the former starting RB of the Royals was Acura Skyline, receiver of a couple awards at the NSFL Awards Ceremony, and unanimous Pro Bowler. Now, he has been drafted by the Yellowknife Wraiths in Round Four of the NSFL Draft. This leaves a lot of room for new talent to come in and take his place. One of the main draws of Skyline was his incredible speed, ending the year with a speed of 91 OVR, which is truly incredible. With lots of TPE gone from the RB position, someone now has to come in and rectify that, which is where I come in. My archetype is a Speedback, but I have more strength and agility than him, even though he has a lot more speed and a little more endurance. I think once I join, I will fill the hole that Skyline left greatly.
Conclusion
I think that this is one of the prime candidates for me to join up with, as I am sure that my active nature and player are sure to fix whatever the Royals need fixing.
MINNESOTA GREY DUCKS 6-8
Experience
I was given a contact by Dewalt27 on discord, the GM of the Grey Ducks, and I was met with a great personality. He seemed enthusiastic about the league, and asked many questions on how I want to make my way around the league, as a prospect in a new environment in a league that is starting to play soon. Even after he scouted me to the Grey Ducks Locker Room, we held on conversations of the NFL and certain people in the league that we appreciate. Even then, the locker room was one of my favorite places to dwell starting up and getting on my feet. Lovely place to be. I’ll be sure to enjoy it.
Running Back Changes
It doesn’t appear that any of the Grey Duck running backs have been drafted or picked up by any NSFL team as of writing this, so as far as I know, the Grey Ducks are already fine with their Running back situation, and don’t need to draft another one.
Conclusion
Though the locker room is a great environment to be in and such, the Grey Ducks already have their assets in check, and do not need to waste a draft pick on me for a new Running back. Cause, come on man, its frickin’ Baby Yoda man!
PORTLAND PYTHONS 8-6
Experience
How I got into contact with the Pythons was from me giving them a contact answering their questionnaire, mostly just basic scouting questions on them being active, who they are, what they are gonna do etc. After such, it was a delayed response by GM Air Crou. with an acknowledgment. Nothing really too big that is coming out of the Pythons for me, but I am certain that if I joined them, that they are a good team to be a part of.
Running Back Changes
Tatsu Nakamura was the former starter for the Pythons, and now that he has been drafted, and with the second stringer as well, the doors are wide open for another back to step in and make a difference happen. Hence, where I come in. My stats compared to Nakamura is essentially that I have better strength and agility, whereas he has a lot better speed than I do. If the Pythons are looking for a speedy back to fill the gap, while being more strong and elusive than Nakamura, I am certainly their guy.
Conclusion
I may have no clue what their culture is like in their locker room, but I am certain that I would be a great pickup for the team who is looking to fix their running game.
KANSAS CITY COYOTES 9-5
Experience
Scout Mooney on Discord gave me a message over the forum’s private messages and expressed his interest in me as a player, and asked me some questions on who I am as a person and a player. After the contact on the forum, a few days later, he gave me a message on Discord getting to know me a bit more. We immediately sparked a conversation on the activities going on in the NFL, such as free agency, trades, etc., and I knew that if I was a Coyote, then things will frankly be pretty good for me. But their locker room though, is where things get better. Like the Grey Ducks, this is a pretty good culture that they have set up in terms of player and prospect relations. Truly a loose bunch all of them, and always having fun. Overall, a lovely organization that they have going for them right now.
Running Back Changes
The main starters for the Running Back slot for the Coyotes, Kevin Fakon and Da Owl, were both drafted by NSFL teams as of recently, so someone is going to need to come in to fix their issues in that position. With Kevin Fakon, it appears that his overalls indicate that he is a Power Back, not really being too quick, but being very strong and agile, and being good at blocking. This beast would take a good power back to replace, or they could find someone who has the stats to be both speedy and beefy. Where I fall on that spectrum is the following. I am a Speed Back, so my speed is already better than Fakon. However, he is only slightly stronger and agile than I am, with both being 70 OVR, and both of mine being 65 OVR. So, I would be a good replacement for them.
Conclusion
So, I believe that this franchise is one that I would thrive in. With their goofy antics and great culture, I can coexist in an environment that can build strong relationships with fellow members. With this, me replacing Fakon and Owl would be a great route to go down, as combining a person with speed and strength could be a game changer on the field.
DALLAS BIRDDOGS 5-9
Experience
The locker room and culture that this team has set up for all the individuals in there has made it one of my favorite locker rooms in this league. Everyone in there is always messing around, while still getting some business done and helping out people that need some assistance here and there. Getting a message from furiousPanda on Discord about some scouting questions really made me feel like a great person. Overall, this is a great culture, and it's certainly better than some of the others in the league in my humble and objective opinion.
Running Back Changes
As of now, the Birddogs are in a great position when it comes to their running back, who currently has the second highest TPE for running backs in the DSFL. So, I don’t believe that I would be useful to that organization who already is in a good position for their running game.
Conclusion
Though the franchise has a wonderful atmosphere with great people inside of it, I believe that I don’t have to be an addition to a team who already is working well with their current Running Backs.
TIJUANA LUCHADORES 6-8
Experience
The first contact from this organization was from a coGM that said that I would be a good fit in the organization, which frankly, and I’m absolutely serious when I say this, it made my day. If an organization, if people I have never personally met before could make that happen to me, then wow, am I sold or what? I am absolutely sure that a GM that treats prospects with that amount of respect could run a pretty good ship in Tijuana.
Running Back Changes
When it comes to Tijuana’s running backs, it appears that the 2 out of the 3 active roster running backs have been drafted by other teams, which now leaves a big hole to fill when it comes to their running game. Most of them are pretty speedy, which is great for the organization. But, like other running backs at this level, most struggle in the strength and agility department, which was actually doing fine. I know that if I join that organization, I’ll be a great addition.
Conclusion
With a great franchise, culture, and a great place for new talent to blossom, I think that this team will be great for me. And by the way to any GM watching, words can change any talking point, which happened here clearly, as I have been swooned.
[logo] NORFOLK SEAWOLVES 8-6
Experience
With this team, I have received the contact from one of the GMs, Juniped, and I liked the conversation that me and him had. I answered his questions, then went into light conversation about TPE, relationships with other players, etc., and I really enjoyed what we had to entail. With this conversation, I can kinda deduce that this franchise really treats their players with respect, and has a pretty decent culture in the locker room and such.
Running Back Changes
It appears that no NSFL franchise had it in their mind to draft a Running Back for the Seawolfs, so..I guess they are fine when it comes to their running game? I mean, they had pretty good stats compared to other teams, and their current Running Back corps looks fine frankly, so I believe that they are good when it comes to their running game.
Conclusion
So, I haven’t had much contact with this team in general, compared to other teams in this league, so I may be a little dicey if I believe that I will do well here, but hey. We will never know I guess.
MYRTLE BEACH BUCCANEERS 9-5
Experience
Well, damn. I think that I’m in love. Like legitimately, this team is an absolute dreamboat to be involved with! I have clicked so much with this locker room, and everybody in it is just great to be a part of. Now, I made the first contact with this organization by joining in their Locker Room Discord, where I was met with people who genuinely seemed grateful to have me be there. Everyday, I pop in there, and I see people either having a diligent conversation with other individuals, or people just messing around and having a good time. That sounds great to be a part of! I want to cement myself with these people, and I wish that I can continue these bonds with these people!
Running Back Changes
Unfortunately, Dax Frost never made his way to the big leagues in the NSFl, which is unfortunate because he tore it up last season, and was a problem for many individuals in the league. They seem great with their running game at the end of the day.
Conclusion
This team is great, the head office of the franchise is great, the culture is actually damn good, and I really want to be a buccaneer someday!
Final Remarks
At the end of the day, I don’t really see myself caring where I go. Of course I have favorites, which have clearly been displayed if you can’t tell by me praising certain organizations, but that shouldn’t stop any team from picking me in the draft. If people wanted my honest opinion, I just wanna go high man. Round One, Round Two, that ball park would honestly make me extremely happy with myself.
All that I wanna do in this league is excel at what I do. And I believe that if I’m in an environment where I can do such, then it will be great for every person around! I put my teammates in front of us winning because I believe that relationships with other people, breeds the ability to excel at anything that people do. Trust itself can make a night and day difference between teams that are just frankly...eh...with each other, to teams that are always making sure that everyone is just fine and dandy, and building ever lasting bonds for life times.
To GMs that could be reading this, I’m sorry that I might have offended you. I’m sorry that I may not appear as interesting compared to people in this draft class. I’m sorry that I’m different from people. But just know this. You pick me up and place me on your roster? Best thing that you could have done for your team, because I genuinely think that I can go places with any team in this league. Or frankly, go places with any team even in the NSFL when my time comes to go on to the big boy leagues.
So, I’ll sit here and pray. I’ll sit here and hope that I turn heads, change attitudes, make people more excited, and do what I do best, which is run that football down the field, for a five yard gain, to a first down conversion, to a large gain, or hell, even a touch down.
If you have any questions, feel free to DM me on here, or on Discord. Don’t be shy, I’m always waiting for people to hit me up and give me some love. Thanks for reading.
