Welcome all to my review of San Jose!
First off, your probably wondering what the hell I'm gonna babble about. Well, for you rookies, recreates and soon to be Free Agents. I want to tell you why San Jose is the best city in California. And why this is your destination for seasons to come.
Let's dive into the city itself. When I came out to San Jose for my draft visit I had no idea what to expect. And after leaving Minnesota, what a change of scenery San Jose was. I'm going to break down in a few sections the all important parts of why you want to live and play football here.
First, we all have cell phones, tablets, laptops and PCs. Well San Jose is one of the tech capitals of the world as of end of 2018 we had more fortune 500 companies than anywhere but NY. Ebay? Adobe? Cisco... Yep. All of them. Started right here in San Jose.
And speaking of all these companies to work for and all the tech support. Your thinking of coming out here for work too. And that leads me to let you know San Jose is one of the happiest places to work according to glassdoor and careerbliss. And according to me. Our football team and facilities will provide you access to train, maintain and grow. Our family center will have your family feeling welcome and at home in no time.
In the off season, we have one of the best hockey teams. In the San Jose Sharks. So take the family to a game. Or enjoy a hike or a bike trail as the second healthiest city in the US there is always something to keep you active. And don't worry about rain we average 300 days sunshine a year. So it's always sunny in San Jose. Definitely not Philadelphia. Just sayin.
Now I know these are all wonderful things to know about our city. But let's get down to some good stuff. Food, fun and nightlife.
Lets start with food. San Jose is known for Vietnamese food, japanese, orange sauce and many more. Here is a list of some of my favorite places to eat.
1.) Adega. Although Adega is a high class Michelin star restaurant. It is worth the money and the wait. The cuisine and atmosphere will blow you away, never have you had Portuguese food like this before. O and don't let me forget the rare wines in the cellar. Celebrate that new contract in style.
2.) Falafels drive in. Man what a classic dining experience of a old drive in. With a middle eastern twist. I love kabobs and gyros. And here is the best place to get them.
3.) Henry's World Famous Hi-Life. Ribs, steak, chicken, bbq and good beer. This is the place. Your average decor and bar setting gives you a chance to relax and tear down a full rack of ribs.
Fun, now either your a family man or young single football player. And here are some spots for each
1.) Downtown. By San Jose University we have a shoved so much entertainment into just a few blocks. Dining, nightlife, lounges and anything you want can be found downtown with over 250+ places. You'll find something for you and/or your family
2.) Tech interactive. What a cool ass place if your into tech. Robots, virtual reality, gizmos and innovative hands. You can find it all hear and experiment with it all too. Again a great place for you or your family.
3.) Finally, I wish I could make this list long. But this is my jist to get your attention and why you need to be here my final place to see immediately would be
Santana row. A mixed use development with so much to offer. With it's palms, oaks, fountains, musicians. Take your family or your pets for a walk. Stop by boutiques, gallery's or one of many restaurants.
Finally, some night life for you single players
1.) Avery lounge is a upper scale night club that will have you dancing your ass off all night. With big time DJs dropping in and local DJ residents. The live music doesn't stop till early morning.
1.) Cheetahs gentleman club. The best strip club in San Jose. If your into these type of clubs this is the one for you. This bare all club has a grade A team.
So, you know how nice the weather is, how smart and healthy are community is. Why we have some great food fun and nightlife. The last thing I want to remind you about is football. That's why you're reading this cause you may want to come play here some day or you maybe drafted by San Jose. Just like every team we've had our ups and downs. But we've brought in a ton of talent, we have the best GMs and analytics departments. We consistently look for ways to improve and give our players the best chance to show out on the football field. Our locker room is fantastic. We want you to feel at home and ready to perform and that's what we are here for. So when thinking about draft or FA. Think no other than....
