Agent Tesla: Hello and good time appropriate greeting media readers of the National Simulation Football League! I am here today to go over the third off the field week of Developmental Simulation Football League games. Which covers weeks five through seven thanks to one of our double game days. So welcome to the third edition of Agent Tesla's Developmental Simulation Football League Week in Review!
Now because I handle the highlights in my role as a rookie mentor I will be cutting to that footage now instead of needlessly rewriting everything. So cut to previously recorded footage of week five and six highlights here!
-Insert cut to previously recorded footage here-
Agent Tesla: Hello and good time appropriate greeting fellow members of the National Simulation Football League! We are here to bring you highlights from another double game day so get ready for the highlights from week five and week six of the Developmental Simulation Football League! Joining me today to bring you these highlights is Sim Rep who represents the sim. Please get us started Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Myrtle Beach Buccaneers at Norfolk Seawolves. Seawolves won 21 to 19. Offensive player of the game is running back Quanter Skrills of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 13 rushing attempts for 52 yards, an average run of 4 yards, a long of 12 yards, 1 touchdown, 3 receptions for 20 yards, an average reception of 6.7 yards, and a long of 11 yards.
Agent Tesla: Quanter contributed from their first touch of the day with a six yard run on a third and five in the first quarter. Their long reception of the day came on a third and two early in the second quarter where their 11 yard reception put the team on the 2 yard line. They also had the 3 yard third quarter touchdown run to give their team the lead. While their last big highlight of the game came on a third and three in the fourth quarter where they converted with their longest play of the day a 12 yard run. Now onto defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Shepherd Marshall of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 12 tackles and 1 pass defended.
Agent Tesla: Shepherd Marshall contributed early with a tackle on the first second down of the day where they stopped them with six yards to gain which would lead to a punt. Their next big play of the day came on a first and ten in the second quarter where they broke up a pass to add to their stat line and take it to second down. I would say their most important play of the day though came in the closing seconds of the second quarter where they made a tackle that forced the Buccaneers to settle for a field goal.
Now onto game two of week five please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Portland Pythons at Minnesota Grey Ducks. Portland Pythons won 16 to 12. Offensive player of the game is running back Joseph Petrongolo of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 23 rushing attempts for 113 yards, an average run of 4.9 yards, and a long run of 15 yards.
Agent Tesla: Joseph's first big play of the game came with an 11 yard run on a third and four in the first quarter to put the team in field goal range. Their longest play of the game saw them get a 15 yard run on second and three to get over midfield. A run they were able to follow with another highlight as they managed a 13 yard run on the very next play. Now for defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is defensive tackle GhostOf Mamba (BOT) of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 4 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 safety.
Agent Tesla: That first quarter sack safety was sick for certain, but we do not celebrate bots here. So the defensive player of the game is instead going to be defensive tackle Joe Exotic of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 6 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 blocked field goal. Two third down tackles that led to punts and that beautiful blocked field goal in the second quarter earned them the award in my book.
Game three of week five please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Dallas Birddogs at Kansas City Coyotes. Birddogs won 15 to 14. Offensive player of the game is kicker Kicky Boy (BOT) of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 3 for 3 on field goals and 0 for 1 on extra point attempts.
Agent Tesla: No bots and especially not when their best play is a 33 yard field goal. So real offensive player of the game is instead quarterback Mattathias Caliban of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 20 of 26 for 203 yards, an average of 10.2 yards, a passer rating of 98.7, and 1 rush for 13 yards. From their 30 yard pass to Taro Raimon in the first quarter, through their 13 yard run in the third quarter, and all the way to their 29 yard pass to Luca Scabbia in the fourth quarter they were key to the offensive success of the team. Onto defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is free safety Nerdy Name of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 11 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception touchdown.
Agent Tesla: Nerdy Name's first key contribution came in the second quarter where a tackle at the line of scrimmage on a first and ten put the opponents in a long position that they were unable to convert over the next two downs. Their biggest and best contribution of the game came on a second and ten towards the end of the third quarter where they picked off the ball and ran it back for a 36 yard touchdown. While their last big play of the day was their tackle on fourth down that led to a turnover on downs that effectively finished off the game.
Now for game four of the week please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game London Royals at Tijuana Luchadores. Luchadores won 40 to 24. Offensive player of the game is running back Crowbar Theeks of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat lie of 20 rushing attempts for 128 yards, an average run of 6.4 yards, a long of 27 yards, 1 touchdown, 4 receptions for 15 yards, an average reception of 3.8 yards, a long of 10 yards, and 1 touchdown.
Agent Tesla: Theeks got off to a great start as their first touch of the game was an 8 yard run on first and ten, and their second touch was a 23 yard touchdown run on third and two. Their longest play of the game came on a second and four in the first quarter where they managed their 27 yard run. Also on that drive they got a ten yard touchdown reception on first and goal. A fabulous first quarter to be honest. Now for defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is cornerback Mith Randir (GM) of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 4 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 1 touchdown.
Agent Tesla: No bots GM or otheriwise! Actual defensive player of the game is cornerback Nessie Joans of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 6 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception touchdown. Their interception touchdown came on a second and fifteen in the third quarter and they ran it back 27 yards to get the score there. Also caught the onside kick at the end of the game to seal the deal for the Tijuana Luchadores.
Now we move onto game one of week six please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Minnesota Grey Ducks at Kansas City Coyotes. Coyotes won 24 to 10. Offensive player of the game is running back Zed Keppler of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 20 rushing attempts for 141 yards, an average run of 7 yards, a long of 63 yards, and 1 touchdown.
Agent Tesla: A big play to start the day as Keppler got the ball on a first and ten just a few minutes into the game before taking it 63 yard into the end zone for a touchdown. They started off the second quarter in similar fashion with a 15 yard run on first and ten. Now take us to the defensive player of the game if you would please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Samuel L Sackson Senior of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 14 tackles and 1 tackle for loss.
Agent Tesla: Now this is an interesting stat line to finds highlights for if I am honest, but they do have a few that are worth showing off. The first came on a second and three in the third quarter where they blew up a reception at the line of scrimmage for no gain. The next two I can show off are interesting as they came on back to back plays after a turnover on downs by their own team they made tackles short of the line to gain in an attempt to get their offense one last chance. That never quit attitude is one you love to see!
Now we move to game two of week six please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game London Royals at Portland Pythons. Pythons won 20 to 13. Offensive player of the game is running back Jacoby Batista of the London Royals with a stat line of 26 rushing attempts for 113 yards, an average run of 4.3 yards, a long of 16 yards, and 1 touchdown.
Agent Tesla: Batista brought a big play early with a 14 yard run on a first and ten in the first quarter to give their team a first and goal. A first and goal that they converted into a touchdown on the following play with a 6 yard run. Longest play of the game came in the form of a 16 yard run on a second and five in the second quarter. Now show us the defensive player of the game please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Omar Wright Jr of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 15 tackles.
Agent Tesla: Tackles do not usually make the best highlights, but I am happy to find some here for the young stars of our league. Omar Wright Jr's first of the game came on a second and eight in the last minute of the first half where they stopped their opponent short of the line to gain. That play was key as it would lead to a long field goal attempt that was no good. Their other big highlight of the game came in the fourth quarter where a tackle on third and twelve short of the line to gain would help lead to a turnover on downs. Clutch consistency there by Omar Wright Jr.
Game three of week six please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Tijuana Luchadores at Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. Luchadores won 30 to 24. Offensive player of the game is running back Crowbar Theeks of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 21 rushing attempts for 113 yards, an average run of 5.4 yards, a long of 16 yards, 1 touchdown, 4 receptions for 39 yards, an average reception of 9.8 yards, and a long of 16 yards.
Agent Tesla: Crowbar Theeks long run of the day came early in the second quarter where they ran it 16 yards on a first and ten. Their long reception of the day came not much later in the second quarter where they caught a 16 yard pass to convert a third and ten. It was their fourth quarter play I believe that locked this award up for them though as they managed an 8 yard run on second and four that they followed with a 1 yard touchdown run to seal the deal.
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Bot Samwise (BOT) of the Tijuana Luchadores with 4 tackles and 1 interception touchdown.
Agent Tesla: Regardless of defensive touchdowns no bots get awards here and so the real defensive player of the game is instead linebacker Adam Schell of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 9 tackles and 1 forced fumble. That forced fumble is what wins it for them in my opinion and it came on a tackle on second and six short of the line to gain in the third quarter.
Final game of the day please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Norfolk Seawolves at Dallas Birddogs. Birddogs won 24 to 3. Offensive player of the game is kicker Kicky Boy (BOT) of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 1 for 1 on extra points and 5 for 5 on field goals.
Agent Tesla: Still no bots and so instead we will give the award to running back Zoe Watts of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 16 rushing attempts for 84 yards, an average run of 5.2 yards, a long run of 19 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 reception for 4 yards. Between their 19 yard run on third and two in the second quarter and their 1 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter this is an easy choice that the sim should have made. Now for defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Blade McCoy of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 10 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 safety.
Agent Tesla: Blade McCoy contributed throughout the game, however they kicked it up in the fourth quarter where their first big play was a tackle on first and goal that allowed just a 1 yard gain. What won them this award though was clearly their seven yard sack on first and ten that resulted in a safety that secured the Birddogs the game towards the end of the fourth quarter.
-Cut back to the filming still in progress-
Agent Tesla: One of the highest scoring games of the season in these two weeks with the Tijuana Luchadores and London Royals combining for 64 points in week five. The Tijuana Luchadores also combined with the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers in week six for 54 points. Along with the closest game possible other than a tie in the week five game between the Dallas Birddogs and the Kansas City Coyotes that was decided by just one point. A solid range of good games! Now we go again to previously recorded footage for week seven!
-Insert cut to previously recorded footage here-
Agent Tesla: Hello and good time appropriate greeting fellow members of the National Simulation Football League! I am here today to bring you some highlights from week seven of the Developmental Simulation Football League! Joining me today to do this is Sim Rep who will represent the sim. Now how about you start us off with the first game of the week Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Tijuana Luchadores at Norfolk Seawolves. Seawolves won 37 to 14. Offensive player of the game is running back Crowbar Theeks of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 24 rushing attempts for 106 yards, an average run of 4.4 yards, a long run of 15 yards, and 1 reception for 1 yard.
Agent Tesla: A whole lot of good action by Theeks, but we cover just the highlights here. First of the day for Theeks came on a third and three in the second quarter where Theeks made it downfield for a 12 yard gain. They also had their long play of the game that drive as they managed a 15 yard run on a first and ten later in the drive. Their other big play of the day came on a third and five early in the third quarter where they managed a 13 yard run. Fun fact is both drives where Theeks had a 10+ yard run ended in touchdowns for the Luchadores. Now for defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Ryan Scott of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 9 tackles and 2 sacks.
Agent Tesla: Scott got an early start with a 6 yard sack on third and seven in the first quarter to force a punt. Their other highlight worthy play though came in the fourth quarter to seal the win for the Seawolves as he managed another 6 yard sack that would help lead to a turnover on downs.
Now for game two please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Myrtle Beach Buccaneers at London Royals. Offensive player of the game is running back Nicholas Ayers of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers with a stat line of 22 rushing attempts for 104 yards, an average run of 4.7 yards, and a long of 13 yards.
Agent Tesla: Long play of the day for Ayers came in the second quarter as they converted a second and ten with a 13 yard run. Also had another big play on that drive with an 11 yard run on a third and five that allowed them to score a field goal before the half. Ayers put together a really good play on a second and eighteen in the fourth quarter where they managed a 10 yard run to make it third and possible. Now for defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Juan Domine of the London Royals with a stat line of 14 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 forced fumbles.
Agent Tesla: Now this might be a first for me as Juan Domine dominated from the very first play from scrimmage as they managed to force a fumble that was recovered and returned just outside of the red zone. Added a key tackle on a second and eleven that would help force a punt in the first quarter. Managed their second forced fumble of the day on a first and ten in the second quarter. Then sealed the award up with a 6 yard sack on second and four that would lead to a punt.
Game three of the week please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Kansas City Coyotes at Portland Pythons. Pythons won 30 to 17. Offensive player of the game is running back Sergio Kitchens of the Kansas City Coyotes with a stat line of 15 rushing attempts for 110 yards, an average run of 7.3 yards, a long of 16 yards, and 1 touchdown.
Agent Tesla: Kitchens kicking it off early with a 14 yard run on the very first play from scrimmage! One of their longest runs of the day also came early as they had a 16 yard run on a second and ten in the first quarter. They tied that long run early in the second quarter with 16 yards on a first and ten. While not as explosive a play in terms of yards they also collected a 2 yard touchdown run on third and goal in the third quarter. Defensive player please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is strong safety Thomas Engine of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 3 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception touchdown.
Agent Tesla: Engine also got an early start as they picked off a pass on third and fourteen and took it 45 yards to the house for the touchdown! Love good safety play and defensive scores. Also had a touchdown saving tackle against a long pass play on a first and ten in the third quarter.
Now for the final game of the week please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Minnesota Grey Ducks at Dallas Birddogs. Birddogs won 30 to 10. Offensive player of the game is running back Bob Murphy of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 23 rushing attempts for 86 yards, an average run of 3.7 yards, a long of 12 yards, 1 touchdown, 2 receptions for 15 yards, an average reception of 7.5 yards, and a long of 8 yards.
Agent Tesla: Murphy made their long reception early as they caught the 8 yard pass on a second and two just a few minutes into the game. Their next big play did not come until near the end of the first half where they had a 1 yard touchdown run. Two highlight worthy plays already and they continued their big day with their long run of the day going for 12 yards to convert a first and ten in the fourth quarter. Please tell us the defensive player of the game now Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Bradley Owens of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 7 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 pass defended.
Agent Tesla: Owens owned the award today off their first sack of the day that took the opponents 6 yards back on a first and ten which would ultimately lead to a failed field goal attempt. Their next big play was their second sack of the day which set the opponent back 7 yards on a first and ten and led to a three and out. They kept up their consistent contribution with a tackle on second and ten in the third quarter that led to a third and long and eventually a punt. While their last big play of the day came when they broke up a pass on third and ten to force a punt.
-Cut back to the filming still in progress-
Agent Tesla: The lowest combined score for this week was 37 points in the game between the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers and the London Royals. While the closest game was a thirteen point spread between the Portland Pythons and Kansas City Coyotes. A great set of games if you enjoy beat downs given the point differentials.
Now before we get into our final segment of the day I just wanted to address some of the comments that the highlights have gotten on the Discord. I really appreciate all the kind words! Honestly I love this league and am happy to perform this as a labor of love, but it really does mean a lot to me that the highlights have been well received. So to those of you who have said such nice things; sincerely thank you!
Now for the final segment of this week in review we are going to highlight a media piece from a member of the Developmental Simulation Football League and oh my is it a suggestion this week. 'Why Rickie Vaughne should be top your draft board' by supertardis101 is the media suggestion of the week, and I will honestly leave it there. Genuinely to describe it would do it a disservice, but if you are interested in media put out by our newer members I wholeheartedly suggest it.
Now that covers everything that I wanted to talk about for this week. Thank you for taking the time to read this regardless of how much of it you actually read, and we hope you have an enjoyable 2x media week! We hope to see you next media piece!
Now because I handle the highlights in my role as a rookie mentor I will be cutting to that footage now instead of needlessly rewriting everything. So cut to previously recorded footage of week five and six highlights here!
