zEagle1 rates the QB, RB, and TE prospects! S25 Edition
In this article I will be rating the prospects on build and earnings/activity so far out of five stars. I will then combine these rankings using a proprietary (aka completely subjective) ranking system and give them a final letter grade. I will separate out each positional group and give a total positional group grade.
QB
Kotone Shiomi (User: Emi)
Build
A mobile QB hailing from Saga University (is this a weeb thing or a real university?), Shiomi has great athletic stats. Coming into the league with 55 agility, 66 arm, 72 intelligence, 70 throwing accuracy, 65 speed, and 60 endurance. These attributes remind me of a young Russell Wilson (the savior of my fantasy team), and although the current meta is not mobile quarterbacks, the build could still prove to be effective in the DSFL and beyond. She increased her arm by one, her intelligence by two, and endurance by 20 to reach her current attributes
I rate her build ****. Mobile QB is not the meta, but this should be fine for the DSFL.
Activity
Emi was super active initially, fitting in perfectly with the weebs over in Kansas City. She seemed like the perfect replacement for the very controversial Covington III. However, when Kansas City traded for QB Matt Pederson, she announced her retirement for seemingly unrelated IRL issues. The timing sure is suspicious, though. She was last online on September 27th and it seems like she will not be coming back. This is a disappointment, as she had been projecting as a max earner, having earned 93 TPE in her few short weeks in the league
I rate her earnings and activity ***** and * simultaneously.
Total grade: F. She is no longer active. Inactive QBs are less than worthless. Could’ve been a big deal too.
LeBron James III (User: Orhanello)
Build
Like his grandfather before him, LeBron James III is a football star, except this time he decided to stick with it. LBJ3 is a pocket passer hailing from THE Ohio State University (Almost threw up typing that). He starts with 71 arm, 76 intelligence, and 72 throwing accuracy. He will need to find some athleticism, as he has only 40 strength, 45 agility, 40 speed, and 50 endurance. That 40 speed is a big question mark, and he will need to bring that up to 79 as quickly as possible. He spend his earned TPE on improving his intelligence to 90, getting his throwing accuracy up to 75, and his arm strength up to 73.
I rate his build as ****. Good throwing stats and intelligence, but concerning lack of speed and endurance could have him struggle down the stretch
Activity
Orhanello has been reasonably active on discord so far, I’ve seen him pop up in the Pythons’ server occasionally, and we’ve talked briefly. He seems nice. Hopefully he grows into a vocal locker room leader for wherever he is drafted. Additionally, he has already spent almost 10 hours on the forums since joining in the beginning of September. He’s earned a whopping 127 TPE without equipment and is about halfway to earning enough for that coveted tier six equipment for that sweet, sweet 30 TPE.
I rate his activity *****. Great earning and pretty active on discord. What more could you want from a prospect?
Total Grade: A-. He’s a little discord activity away from being the perfect prospect and will grow into a quality starting QB in the DSFL and ISFL, with the potential of superstardom.
Ryan Negs (User: Negs)
Build
Negssssssss! Is a gunslinger out of The University of Georgia. Hopefully his idol is Matt Stafford or something. His build is highlighted by 72 arm strength, 70 intelligence, and 70 throwing accuracy. He also has 40 strength, 45 agility, and 50 endurance. This is similar to LeBron James III’s build, despite the different archetypes chosen. Ryan Negs used his TPE earnings on intelligence, throwing accuracy, and speed. This build is adequate for the start of a rookie DSFL season, and with tier six equipment and other earnings like ultimus week, he will be able to fill out his attributes and have a great rookie season.
I rate this build ****. Same critique as LeBron James III; good start, but QB has a lot of important attributes that need to be boosted.
Activity
Ryan Negs (it’s really convenient when a user names a player after themselves) is another max earner at the QB position. He’s up to an impressive 112 TPE already, also without equipment. He’s spent a whopping nine hours on the forums after joining on September 17th, under two weeks ago! On top of that he’s been active in discord, especially in the Minnesota Grey Ducks channel (whether or not that is a good thing is up to your interpretation). I’ve personally talked to him a little and he’s a super nice guy. Whichever team he ends up on is going to love him.
I rate his activity and earnings *****. He’s a max earner who’s super active on the discord locker rooms.
Total Grade: A. He’s a max earner who’s already super active on discord. The only thing stopping him from being an A+ is that he joined a bit late in the cycle and missed out on some critical TPE from earlier weeks, but he will earn well and be capped by the end of his first season regardless.
QB Wrap-up
QB prospects are slim pickings in any season, but this season there’s really only two prospects, since Emi retired and went inactive. Both of these prospects are blue-chip level guys who will make an instant impact and will have ISFL scouts drooling over them before too long.
QB Positional grade: B. Two good prospects. One IA prospect that could have been good had circumstances played out differently. Quality over quantity is the mantra for QBs in the DSFL/ISFL, and this class exemplifies that.
RB
Big Chungus (User: The_Mediocre_Pigeon)
Build
Big Chungus is a power back hailing from Big Boys College (BBC). Honestly, if he were anything other than a power back, he’d get sued for false advertising. He’s starting off with a prolific 70 strength, 55 agility, 70 speed, and 70 endurance. This is a well-rounded build that will give him a great start towards becoming a starting RB in the DSFL. He’s used all his TPE so far on three agility points and four strength points. He could spend a season in a fullback role, like Busta Bawlls did for Portland last season, and then either get called up or transition over to the RB1 role in the DSFL.
I give this build ****. Power back is always needed in the league and this is a pretty good attempt at building one. 70 speed will hold him back until he can boost it.
Activity
The Mediocre Pigeon is slightly lacking in activity. They signed up on July 17th but did not create their player until September 8th. They’ve only earned 30 TPE since creating, bringing them to 80 TPE total. This is not enough and hopefully the mediocre pigeon can embrace the league fully and grow into a max earner. They are in the discord locker rooms so that is a positive sign.
I give the activity ***. Activity seems to be picking up, but a slow start will hold them back.
Total Grade: B-. Big Chungus has a good build, but user the mediocre pigeon needs to pick up the activity to have any impact on the league. They are moving in the right direction however, and a good locker room will nurture them into a solid player.
Rocky Jackman (User: RockyBaljoa)
Build
Rocky Jackman is another power back, hailing from the streets of Philly. A member of the esteemed “Friends of South” club, he is a late create, only joining the S26 draft class on September 25th. He built with 65 strength, 55 agility, 76 speed, and 70 endurance. 76 speed is promising, as RB is the biggest speed position in the sim. 65 strength is sufficient for RB at the DSFL level, and 70 endurance is the minimum for a skill position player. He does not have an update page yet though, so I cannot speak on any TPE he’s earned and what he’s spent it on.
Activity
As mentioned, RockyBaljoa has not yet created an update page for his player, which is a huge red flag. He also has not visited the site since he created. Another big red flag. He also is not in any of the league discord servers. A third red flag. The team that drafts him will have a world of work to do to keep him from being another inactive nonfactor.
I give their activity *. There is no activity to grade, really.
Total Grade: D. Rocky Jackman has a good use of the first 50 TPE but has nothing else to show the league and appears to be trending towards being inactive. They will probably end up being a DSFL body and nothing more.
Mr. Forty-Two (User: C9Van)
Build
Speed back! Finally! Mr. 42 is a quick boy from Budapest, Hungary. His college is “The Cult” so that’s fun. Or creepy. Your choice. His initial build is 65 strength, 56 agility, 79 speed, and 70 endurance. 79 speed makes him among the fastest players in the draft class, and 65 strength is a nice balance to that. 70 endurance will keep him going down the stretch, through to the end of the season. He is currently sitting at a whopping 170 TPE, which is probably the highest in this draft class. He used this massive TPE hoard to bring speed up to 89, endurance to 71, agility to 56, and hands to 47. Mr. is far and away one of the best players in the draft class.
I rate this build *****. He’s doing everything right for a speed RB build.
Activity
User C9Van is a recreate, retiring his old player Laszlo Forty-Two. He’s been extremely active on the forums, with 60 threads and 714 total posts in the year and a half he has been a member. As I mentioned above, C9Van has earned an astounding 120 TPE since creating Mr. Forty-Two on September 5th. Any recreate is going to draw eyes, but one of the caliber of C9Van is extra special. He will be an amazing pick-up for whoever drafts him.
I rate his activity *****. Super active recreate who’s max earning. Literally the perfect prospect
Total Grade: A+. Amongst the highest TPE in the class, amongst the most active users in the class. Probably the best recreate prospect in the class.
RB Wrap-up:
There’s slim pickings at RB this season, with only three players. One of these appears to be inactive, so really there’s only two. Only one appears to be max earning, so it’s one of the slimmest classes in recent memory.
Positional Grade: D-
TE
Akil Ozymandias (User: Count Chocula)
Build
Akil Ozymandias is a balanced Tight End hailing from Newark, New Jersey (a city that I had the misfortune of getting lost in last weekend) by way of Stanford University. His initial 50 TPE build is highlighted by 70 strength, 68 speed, and 65 endurance. He also has 50 agility, 50 intelligence, and 60 hands. Like the archetype would suggest, this is a jack of all trades, master of none type build. He doesn’t have the blocking ability of a blocking Tight End, nor the receiving abilities of a vertical threat tight end. Despite this, Count Chocula has done a good job building Akil, and he will slot into the lineup for any DSFL team in need of a TE.
I give this build ****. The ISFL is a min max league and choosing balanced builds generally does not lead to the hall of fame, but Akil could very well have a great career despite this.
Activity
Count Chocula created their account on September 4th and has put in nearly seven hours on the forums since then. He’s sitting at a very respectable 134 TPE currently, and that is without considering the tier six equipment that is in his near future. Max earners will always have a huge place in the league. He also made his own signature, which is very well designed and suggests that he will have no money problems during his time in the league. I personally have not yet interacted with Count Chocula, but I am sure he’s a nice guy.
I rate his activity *****. Super active and a max earner.
Total Grade: A. Great user with a pretty solid player.
Tom Teboat (User: PauAdrian)
Build
Tom Teboat is a vertical threat tight end out of the University of Florida, originally from the Philippines. He used his initial 50 TPE to bring his build to 60 strength, 50 agility, 72 speed, 55 hands, and 65 endurance. Vertical threat is the best archetype for tight ends in the league (In my opinion), so he’s off to a solid start. He’s banked a great deal of his earned TPE so it’s difficult to tell how the player is progressing, but hopefully one he gets drafted, he’ll disperse it.
I give his build *****.
Activity
Pauadrian is a really nice guy, I had some quality conversations with him in the Portland locker room. He was a waiver guy who created late enough to be in the S25 DSFL draft, so I’m personally very excited to see where he ends up. He has not been max earning during his time in the league, but tight ends can be effective at a lower TPE so it’s not the end of the world.
I give his activity **. He’s a nice guy but has not been earning enough for someone that’s been around most of a season.
Total Grade: C. Good locker room presence. If he gets more active, he could be a good pick.
Jaja Ding Dong (User: ckroyal92)
Build
60 strength, 50 intelligence, 58 speed, 70 hands, and 65 endurance for the balanced tight end out of Michigan. That speed is concerning as it basically negates his ability to get open to use those 70 rated hands. He’s a recreate though so he probably knows something about the sim that I don’t.
I give the build ***. Weirdly slow build but I’m no expert.
Activity
Ckroyal92 is a mega active user, and Jaja Ding Dong is a recreate. I think CK is the GM of the San Jose Sabercats, but I could be mistaken. SJS must need a new TE or something. They are a max earner though, so that is nice. They are at 134 TPE right now, which is very good.
I give the activity *****. Even if the DSFL is a waste of a season to them, having an ISFL GM in your locker room is a huge boost and their knowledge will rub off on others.
Total Grade: B+. In the DSFL you want to draft the best users, and ckroyal92 is one of them.
Caven McRae (User: MacDaddy)
Build
Vertical threat, 50 strength, 55 intelligence, 55 speed, 65 hands, 65 endurance. A well-rounded vertical threat build for a first-time user. They will need to boost the speed to put up big numbers in the passing game, however. They can’t really do much blocking as a vertical threat, so they really need to boost speed, which they did using their earned TPE, bringing it to 69, along with bringing their hands to 69. Nice.
I give this build *****.
Activity
MacDaddy created their account on September 14th and has spent 8.5 hours on the forums since then. They are up to 96 TPE which is pretty solid in two weeks. With equipment they will be a solid player. They seem to be sticking around and active.
I rate their activity ****. Very good start for a new user.
Total grade: A-. Good build with a high earning user behind it.
Owmy Back (User: I’ll Change This Later)
Build
Well-rounded vertical threat, 60 speed and hands, 65 endurance.
I rate this build ***. Need more speed. Also more hands.
Activity
This is ICTL’s fourth player and he las less posts than some of the brand new prospects I scouted.
I rate their activity **.
Total Grade: D-. Too many players that amounted to nothing, with little to no earning.
TE Wrap-up:
There’s a decent number of prospects, and a couple solid ones.
Positional Grade: B-
That’s all the QBs, RBs, and TEs! Thanks for reading!
In this article I will be rating the prospects on build and earnings/activity so far out of five stars.
