Recently the London Times caught up with recent draft pick of the London Royals Tugg Speedman. Tugg was the 16th overall pick, last pick of the second round of the season 25 Developmental Football League draft. Touted as one of the best receivers coming into the draft. The prospect coming out of college his Junior season was a stand out player for TCU (Texas Christian University) in the Big 12. Setting numerous records in high school (he is from Ohio) and at his alma mater, Tugg has the tools to succeed at multiple offensive positions and as far as our sources know, he will be staying at the wide receiver position for our London Royals. He will be coming in as the number two wide receiver on the team and looking to make an impact right away. Without further ado, here is our interview with Tugg Speedman.

Reporter: "Tugg, it's great to finally meet you. Congratulations on all of your success up to this point. How are you feeling?"
Tugg: "Great to meet you, I'm sure we'll get to know each other very well while I'm in London. And thank you, college was a great time for me and really helped me put my abilities on display at a high level. I'm excited to get started here in London and help us win right away. I know what I'm capable of and I'll be a weapon for this team."
Reporter: "Well we're certainly excited to have a player of your caliber on our team. Speaking of the draft, you recently tweeted out that "Woke up this morning and remembered I went 16th... The *curse word*?" Tell me about this, what were your thoughts going into the draft?"
Tugg: "I fully believed I would be a first round pick. I understand teams have needs at certain positions but I know that when I walk onto that field I'm an impact player. I help teams win, there's no doubt it. I'm more surprised than anything that I wasn't the first wide receiver to go. That other guy is a great player but he's not Tugg Speedman. There's only one me, and London made the right decision drafting me. I'm just putting these teams on notice. I may be cocky but my play backs up my talk."
Reporter: "You walk the walk ad you talk the talk, we are here for it. With all that being said, how were your pre-draft interviews? Did you enjoy your talks with the London front office?"
Tugg: "My pre-drat interviews went as well as they could have. Some teams didn't reach out - their loss - but many teams did at least talk to me a little bit. And lucky for me, my best conversations actually came from London. It's where I wanted to be and despite falling, I'm where I want to be and where I'm meant to be. This team is set up for continued success and will help me get to the International Simulation Football sooner. This offense here in London, man oh man, we're going to be electric, just you watch."
Reporter: "And how have you acclimated since arriving in London from Cleveland, Ohio?"
Tugg: "It's definitely been weird but I've always wanted to make my way over to the United Kingdom. I never thought it would be for football but here we are. The time change has been the biggest struggle but I'll make quick work of that. Being away from home is fine, I went to college far away from my hometown of Cleveland so this, to me, is nothing different. I'm just ready to get the season started and compete."
Reporter: "Certainly, that makes quite a bit of sense. What are your expectations for yourself this season?"
Tugg: "While I want to be reasonable for expectations, I want to really challenge myself. I want to haul in at least sixty receptions this year and hit the one thousand yard mark. My biggest goal is to hit at least six touchdowns on the year as well. I want to score and I want to score often. This team is so exceptional especially on offense, so there's no reason I can't at least get close on some of these goals that I've set."
Reporter: "Lofty goals for a very talented player. Well Tugg we're extremely excited to have you here in London and representing the Royals. Any closing remarks before we wrap this thing up?"
Tugg: "To my friends and family, you know what's coming and I'm excited for you to see it all unfold. To my haters, keep it up, y'all suck. To the London Royals front office and my teammates and coaches, I'm excited to get this thing goin, win, and win often baby. Lastly, to the Royals fans, we need you showing out every week. I've heard amazing things about this fan base so I better being seeing that energy week in and week out! *nods to the reporter*
Reporter: "Thanks Tugg, good luck this season."
Tugg: "You bet, go Royals!"
