Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of dude_man’s season 28 DSFL Recap/Highlights. It was brought to my attention that it may be better if I just combine the week’s of this into one giant thread instead of the usual one week recaps so I can take advantage of the media word bonus. So that is what I intend to do. Thanks @noanic! I will just divide these by the week with some sort of border and that way you can tell which game I’m referring to.
Week 5
This week we're going to cover the Tijuana Luchadores vs the London Royals. Last season, the Tijuana Luchadores won both games against the Royals. Both games were decided by one possession, and the Luchadores will look to continue that trend. After the crazy win with less than a minute to go in overtime, Tijuana will do their best to keep the new streak alive. But first, let's check out a pregame interview with the Luchadores offensive coordinator, Nate Swift.
Pre-Game Interview
Mike: Hey guys, Mike Holder here with offensive coordinator Nate Swift. Nate, it’s no secret that this team has had it’s inconsistencies on offense, especially with the passing game. How are you guys going to address it with this coming season?
Nate: Well Mike, there’s still a couple things we’re not doing well. Usually it comes down to fundamentals and then chemistry. We know what we need to do to get where we want, and we’re going to keep working at it. It’s obviously not going to be an immediate change in one day, but a gradual process, but we’ll definitely get there.
Mike: What’s your gameplan going into the game?
Nate: Run the ball (smiles).
Mike: (Laughs) Thanks for meeting with us as always Nate, best to you and your team!

Post-Game Interview
Our interviewer was able to get ahold of Tijuana Luchadores Head Coach Forrest Gump, to get some comments after the game.
Mike: Tough loss Coach. What went wrong for you guys today?
Gump: We forgot the fundamentals of the game, we’re going to focus on that in practice.
Mike: What’s your mindset going into Kansas City?
Gump: Regroup, reset for next week. It’s unacceptable for this to happen, and it cannot happen going forward.
Mike: Thanks for meeting up with us coach.
Now let’s move on to next week’s matchup with the Tijuana Luchadores vs the Kansas City Coyotes!
Week 6
This week we're going to cover the Tijuana Luchadores vs the Kansas City Coyotes. Last season, the Luchadores split the series 1-1 against the Coyotes. However, the last meeting was a blowout win for the Coyotes with a final score of 34-6. Tijuana will look to avoid that and bounce back from a devastating loss to the Royals last week. But first, let's check out a pregame interview with the Luchadores defensive coordinator, Maverick Bowie.
Pre-Game Interview
Mike: Hey guys, Mike Holder here with defensive coordinator Maverick Bowie. Coach, with your unit playing at a solid level, how do you prepare them each week?
Maverick: Mostly just working on fundamentals. Making sure we’re always swarming, tackling with will and motivation, and also playing with your eyes. That last one may not make sense to some, but basically trusting what you see and just going for it.
Mike: What’s your gameplan going into the game for the defensive side?
Maverick: We have to stop the Coyotes passing attack. We’ll see how it plays out, but we need to make sure nothing gets behind us.
Mike: Always a pleasure coach!

Mike: Great to have you here again Nate. The team is currently in the bottom half of the league in total offense, what’s your plan on improving this unit?
Nate: We’re still having troubles with basic things. I think with time this will change, but right now it’s just kind of difficult to make change while we’re still developing. Just need some more time.
Mike: I think the media believes there’s a rift between you and Head Coach Gump, what do you have to say about that?
Nate: I think it’s just the media doing it’s thing. There’s no rift between coach and I, and we’re both passionate, competitive people that we want this team to be the best that it can be.
