*Dotts Development Update

Hey everybody. I wanted to take some time today to present something that I’ve been working on. Some of you might know that I was involved in developing Dotts 2.0. I have been fortunate to be able to work alongside the Dotts team to make 2.0; it has been such a cool experience to see people enjoying the platform. Streaming your pack openings, showing off your pulls, and providing helpful feedback is always so much fun for me to see. The Dotts community has been such a patient and supportive group, always understanding that the team behind the scenes is small and juggling other responsibilities.

I’m excited to provide an update on one of the most requested features for Dotts since it has been created:

Trading is coming soon to the Dotts platform.

Although there is not a set date in place, I can say that all of the minimum required functionality to trade with other players has been put in place. We’d like to wait a little bit longer to release trading to confirm that there are no major bugs present in the new functionality. The last thing I would want is for community members to lose any of their hard-earned cards due to an oversight on my part. I will continue to double and triple check my work to make sure that everything is working to the best of my ability.

I know that trading has been talked about on and off for quite some time now. For those of you that are still a bit skeptical of a “coming soon” announcement, here are a few screenshots and videos of the functionality that I’ve been working on. Please note that everything here is still very much subject to change and improvement, and may not be reflected in the final release.

Once trading has been enabled, the first thing that you'll notice on Dotts is a new menu item

Selecting TRADING will bring you to your trading "home" page, which will show you all of your trades:


You can filter your trades to get an easier view for what you're looking for:


Selecting CREATE NEW TRADE will bring you to the trade proposal screen. On this screen, you select the trade partner you would like a propose a trade to, and select the cards that you would like to be included in the trade ( both outgoing and incoming):


Once you've selected both outgoing and incoming cards to trade and select the PROPOSE TRADE button, you will be asked to confirm your trade:


Once you confirm your trade proposal, it will show up on both yours and your trade partner's trading homepages as a pending trade.

Trades that other users have offered to you will show up as incoming trades. On incoming trades you have the option to accept or decline the trade.



You are also able to delete outgoing trades if you'd like:
