Trade OL Ben Longshaw
I think that this guy definitely has a lot of value for a team looking for Offensive Line which is most of the teams. I think Colorado could be a team that would swap OL for DE. I think that there is a huge need to build up the front 7 of this team, so bringing in a guy like that could help. I think that Longshaw has a huge value, so it should be able to bring in a player that will be a downgrade now, but later will be an upgrade and could potentially even bring in a pick or two. I just do not see the reason to be keeping a guy like this that will not be a guy of huge value in a couple of seasons when there are a lot more valuable OL than this guy. You need to maximize value now, and this is a guy that could easily do that.
Trade TE Break Bottles
His username is just about as useless as the player. Teams need a TE, how about this guy? I mean, you wouldn't get more than a late round pick, but I'd even take that for this guy, to be honest. I just know you are not getting much for this guy, so if a playoff team is looking to make a deep run and really wants a TE to sure up the offense, this could be a guy to look at. It should be a cheap option, which is beneficial as the team trading for him probably will not want to give much. The Cats probably own't ask much either. Trade him, save money, give it to the youngins and call it a day.
Trade CB Xavier Newman
What do you need him for? You have one of the best CB tandems in the league. Too soon? Yeah, probably, but hey, why not move him? Bayley already has more TPE than this guy, so why not move on from him. Now, I really have no idea what you would get other than maybe a late round pick, but I'd put him out there. There could be a team needing a CB to come in now and help out. I mean, I don't think you will have teams rushing to see this guy, but if you get an offer, I'd take it. Get that salary off your books and again, spread it to the young guys.
Trade for a DE
You need this position and you need it now. I would even look to move some of the above pieces to get that guy. I mean, I would ideally want an active guy for Longshaw, but the other two, I could take an inactive. You literally need a guy to fill a hole until you can get a permanent option. I think you really need to put pressure on the QB and keep the RB contained. The DE does both of those and right now, you don't have that. I think with Bayley definitely on a learning curve, the QB having extra time will cause many issues for the secondary. Pressure will be key as Bayley looks to grow into the #2 CB that he may be slotted as. I think if there is a painpoint for this team, it will be that.
Send down DE Sal Ifedemi
I just do not see the use of him up on the main team for this season. I mean, yeah, he fills a hole that you have, but I feel like his confidence and understanding would benefit more from dominating the D-League. I think that would benefit more for the long-term success to send him down and be happy with that.
Build around WR Shane Weston, S Ja Brill (what is this name), Clee Hardrool, Jordan Yates, Vincent Sharpei, Dan Miller, John Canton, and Darren Smallwood
Why would you move any of these guys? They should be core of this team and the guys that should be Sabercats unless they choose to go elsewhere. I think there are definitely reasons to keep all of them around. Why would you even think about moving them? I wouldn't. [/div]
