Good points. I don't really mind the equipment costs. That's one of the reasons why I'm one of the few above 700 TPE, because I want to be the best and I put in the work for it. Other people don't want to and that's fine too. That's why there is a cheaper tier. Half the TPE for 1/3 the cost = bargain.

Edit: I'd like to clarify my argument a bit with some real numbers. I give you three players:

1) Josh Garden: Top TPE player in the league (751). Doesn't miss PTs. Buys all max equipment.
2) Bradley Westfield: Pretty damn good TPE earner (682). Doesn't miss PTs. Buys budget equipment.
3) Robert Phelps: Above average TPE earner (511). Misses some PTs. Doesn't buy equipment.

All three are season one players. Here are the career receiving stats:



Basically, they're all really good. Really damned good. The three best. And there's not a huge margin between them. Not being a TPE whore like me or Garden doesn't mean you can't be elite at your position (assuming you have a good GM that knows how to use you.)

1.) Fully agree about Livestreams.
Watching those games is really great.

2.)Equipment
I'd be fine if equipment prices we're lowered. They probably need to be tweaked anyways. It's kinda strange that some positions can buy equipment repeatedly every season but other's cant. For example, most DL maxed out speed first, so buying cleats after maxing speed is really inefficient, meanwhile other positions (especially OL) can buy lots of gear and repeatedly.
This has allowed rich players of certain positions to buy more TPE just based on the position they play. This also gets screwy with changing positions.


3.) I think if people just try and chill out of they see if other people are being offended by their actions, it would do a lot of good. I know I've argued with people but generally it was but always about how to make the league better and what is best for the league.

4.) NSFL being an acronym for Not Safe For Life isn't the best, but really I think it would be more trouble changing it.

3. Community We are all here for the community. The biggest part of these sim leagues are the people you share your time hanging out with in discord or in the sims. We need to foster a more adult atmosphere around here. Trolling has gotten out of hand at times. While that's bound to happen in anything online, I think we can strive for more. There is a distinct difference between harmless playing and malicious trolling. We need to strive to punish these more harshly than we currently do. I have very little room to talk as I was part of something very trollish lately that maliciously affected the league. But by saying this I mean that everyone, including me, needs to hold their actions in a more adult way and face things in a more mature manner. I think the first action for this would be set discipline rules and a committee that does nothing but rule of over the top actions.

We need to crack down on harassment and bullying. Even if you're one of those 15 year olds on the site, handle your shit like an adult. That sort of shit drives people away. I feel like we brush off this sort of stuff when it happen because we're desensitized to this sort of thing because this is the internet, but you should only go as far as the person you're talking to wants to go. If they're fine with you throwing certain insults at them, that's fine; but toss one at someone else, they might not be as okay with it. Some people aren't comfortable with some people using certain words and you know what, you shouldn't call them a snowflake, maybe you should take a look at yourself and think "well, I don't want to be an asshole."

That's the main idea: Don't be an asshole. Think of other people, not of what's "funny" in your head.

To add to that remember that for example, Jiggly and I are rude fucks to each other because that's or thing. That didn't mean that's someone else's thing with him or I. A lot of interpersonal relationships play out in public and it's very easy to make mistakes about who is okay with what based on what you see them do with others.
